The Shure SLXD14D+ is a dual-channel digital wireless bodypack system designed for two performers, presenters, instructors, or production users who need reliable hands-free audio. It combines an SLXD4D+ dual receiver with two SLXD1+ bodypack transmitters in the G57 frequency band. This configuration is supplied without microphones, allowing users to pair the bodypacks with compatible Shure lavalier, headset, or instrument cable accessories.
Its digital wireless platform delivers 24-bit audio with a stated dynamic range greater than 118 dB. The system is built to keep spoken word, vocals, and instrument sources clear while maintaining a consistent signal path from transmitter to receiver. A 2.8 ms system latency supports use in live sound, installed AV, education, worship, and presentation environments.
The G57 version operates across 470 to 608 MHz, providing a 138 MHz tuning range. Shure specifies support for up to 11 simultaneous systems in 6 MHz TV bands or up to 14 simultaneous systems in 8 MHz TV bands. Automatic setup and interference-management functions help simplify frequency coordination in changing RF environments.
SLX-D+ adds receiver-based transmitter control through ShowLink Ease. From the linked receiver, compatible transmitter settings such as frequency, RF power, control locks, and firmware can be managed remotely. The receiver can also be monitored and controlled through Wireless Workbench software, while WWB Mobile provides Wi-Fi or Bluetooth-based mobile control when supported by current firmware.
The dual-channel SLXD4D+ receiver includes audio summing, allowing both wireless channels to be combined for delivery through a single output path when a downstream device has limited inputs. Its embedded Digital Feedback Reducer can be enabled per channel to help reduce feedback frequencies when feedback occurs. AES-256 encryption is installed, making the system appropriate for applications where secure wireless audio is important.
Key Features
- Dual-Channel Wireless Operation: Supports two SLXD1+ bodypack transmitters through one rackmount receiver.
- G57 Wideband Tuning: Covers 470 to 608 MHz for flexible frequency coordination.
- 24-Bit Digital Audio: Delivers more than 118 dB of stated dynamic range.
- ShowLink Ease Control: Lets the receiver remotely adjust linked transmitter settings.
- Digital Feedback Reducer: Provides per-channel tools to help reduce unwanted feedback.
- Audio Summing: Combines both receiver channels for output to limited-input systems.
Design & Installation
The SLXD4D+ receiver uses a galvanized-steel half-rack chassis, while each SLXD1+ bodypack uses a durable PC/ABS housing. The receiver includes two removable quarter-wave antennas and a rackmount kit for organized installation. Each bodypack is compact enough for belt, waistband, or costume placement and uses a locking TA4M audio input.
Connect the supplied antennas and external power supply to the receiver, then route each balanced XLR or impedance-balanced 1/4-inch output to a mixer, amplifier, recorder, or installed audio system. Use the receiver menu to select mic or line output level, set gain, coordinate frequencies, and sync the transmitters. Compatible TA4F-equipped microphones or instrument cables are required for the included bodypack transmitters and are sold separately.

Are microphones included with this system?
No. This package includes two SLXD1+ bodypack transmitters but does not list microphones or instrument cables in the box. Add compatible Shure TA4F lavalier microphones, headsets, or instrument cables separately.
What frequency range does the G57 version use?
The SLXD14D+-G57 operates from 470 to 608 MHz. Confirm local spectrum availability and wireless-microphone regulations before purchase or use.
Can both wireless channels be combined into one output?
Yes. The SLXD4D+ dual receiver supports audio summing, which combines both channels and makes summed audio available on all outputs. This can help when the connected mixer or audio device has limited available inputs.
What connections are available on the receiver?
Each receiver channel provides a balanced XLR output and an impedance-balanced 1/4-inch output. The receiver also has BNC antenna connectors, a 15 V DC power input, and a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port.
What batteries do the bodypack transmitters use?
Each SLXD1+ can use two 1.5 V AA batteries or an optional Shure SB903 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The system includes four AA batteries, and Shure states up to eight hours of use.
Can the system be controlled from a computer or mobile device?
Yes. Receiver and transmitter parameters can be monitored or controlled with Wireless Workbench desktop software, and WWB Mobile supports Wi-Fi or Bluetooth-based control. Shure notes that WWB Mobile requires SLX-D+ hardware firmware version 2.0.38 or later.
