Mogami GOLD STAGE-50 50 Ft XLR Microphone Cable $194.95
Bundle total: $823.95

The Shure GLXD24+/SM58-Z3 is a single-channel digital wireless vocal system built around the GLXD2+ handheld transmitter and an SM58 microphone capsule. It is designed for singers, presenters, houses of worship, DJs, and event performers who need a cable-free microphone feeding a mixer, powered speaker, or PA system. The included GLXD4+ tabletop receiver provides balanced XLR and 1/4-inch audio outputs for straightforward integration.

This system uses Shure's dual-band wireless platform, operating across the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands in the Z3 frequency range. It automatically manages available spectrum and can move away from interference without interrupting audio. That makes it well suited to mobile performance setups and venues where wireless activity can vary.

The SM58 handheld microphone is configured for vocal use and delivers the familiar focused pickup associated with the SM58 platform. The digital wireless path has a stated 20 Hz to 20 kHz audio frequency response, 122 dB A-weighted dynamic range, and 0.2% typical total harmonic distortion. Receiver gain can be adjusted in 1 dB increments to match the microphone to the connected sound system.

A rechargeable Shure SB904 lithium-ion battery powers the handheld transmitter, with up to 12 hours of stated use. The battery can be charged in the GLXD4+ receiver or through the transmitter's USB-C connection. A 15-minute quick charge provides up to 1.5 hours of use, helping support short turnaround times between sets.

The GLXD24+/SM58-Z3 is a complete tabletop-receiver vocal package rather than a rackmount system. It is a practical fit for a single wireless vocal channel, with the option to expand an overall setup using other GLX-D+ components where appropriate. The GLXD4+ receiver is not backward-compatible with original GLX-D or GLX-D Advanced transmitters and receivers.

Key Features

  • Dual-Band Wireless: Uses 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz spectrum in the Z3 range.
  • SM58 Vocal Capsule: Provides a handheld microphone format for vocals and speech.
  • Automatic Frequency Management: Scans and manages channels to help avoid interference.
  • Rechargeable SB904 Battery: Delivers up to 12 hours of stated transmitter runtime.
  • Receiver Charging Bay: Charges the SB904 battery directly in the GLXD4+ receiver.
  • Balanced Audio Outputs: Includes XLR and 1/4-inch balanced receiver outputs.

Design & Installation

The GLXD4+ tabletop receiver uses a PC/ABS housing and two non-removable dual-band half-wave sleeve-dipole antennas. The GLXD2+/SM58 handheld transmitter combines an aluminum-alloy and ABS-plastic housing with the SM58 vocal microphone capsule. The receiver's display, RF indicators, gain controls, channel controls, and charging bay keep essential operating information accessible from the front panel.

Place the receiver where its antennas have a clear path to the performer, then connect its XLR or 1/4-inch output to a mixer, speaker, recorder, or amplifier input. Link the transmitter and receiver, use the receiver channel scan when setting up, and adjust receiver gain as needed while monitoring the connected audio system. For reliable operation, keep the receiver away from active Wi-Fi equipment and other 2.4 GHz or 5.8 GHz sources when possible.
