The Shure SLXD15+-G57 is a portable digital wireless system built for on-camera, audio-bag, ENG, field-production, and location-sound workflows. It combines the SLXD5+ single-channel portable receiver with the SLXD1+ bodypack transmitter in the G57 UHF band. This configuration is supplied without a microphone or instrument cable, allowing users to choose a compatible TA4F-equipped lavalier, headset, or instrument accessory separately.

Its 24-bit digital wireless platform is designed to preserve detailed, natural audio from the source to the camera, recorder, mixer, or monitoring destination. The system delivers a stated dynamic range greater than 118 dB, a 20 Hz to 20 kHz receiver audio response, and 2.8 ms latency. It is suited to spoken-word capture, mobile video production, interviews, and other applications where clear wireless audio and dependable monitoring are important.

The G57 version covers 470 to 608 MHz, providing a 138 MHz tuning range. Shure specifies support for up to 11 simultaneous systems in 6 MHz TV bands or up to 14 simultaneous systems in 8 MHz TV bands. The receiver has dual integrated quarter-wave antennas, automatic frequency scanning, and interference-management functions to help coordinate portable wireless channels.

The compact SLXD5+ receiver provides separate 3.5 mm camera audio and headphone-monitoring outputs. Its camera output can be set for balanced mono or dual-mono operation, with selectable microphone or line level. A built-in Digital Feedback Reducer can be enabled per channel, while AES-256 encryption supports secure transmission between linked system components.

For expanded control, ShowLink Ease allows supported transmitter settings to be changed remotely from the linked receiver, including frequency, RF power, locks, and firmware updates. Wireless Workbench desktop software and the WWB Mobile app support receiver and transmitter monitoring and control through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connections. The system can run on included AA batteries or optional Shure SB903 rechargeable batteries, and the receiver also accepts 5 V DC through USB-C for powered setups.

Key Features

  • G57 UHF Band: Covers 470 to 608 MHz for broad 138 MHz tuning capability.
  • 24-Bit Digital Audio: Provides detailed wireless audio with greater than 118 dB dynamic range.
  • Portable Receiver: SLXD5+ mounts on a camera cold shoe or works in an audio bag.
  • Flexible 3.5 mm Outputs: Includes camera audio output and a dedicated headphone monitoring output.
  • Remote Device Management: ShowLink Ease and WWB tools support monitoring, updates, and parameter control.
  • Secure Wireless Operation: AES-256 encryption and digital feedback reduction are built into the system.

Design & Installation

The SLXD5+ portable receiver uses an aluminum housing, while the SLXD1+ bodypack uses a PC/ABS enclosure. The receiver measures 4.21 by 2.68 by 1 inch and weighs 182 g, making it appropriate for compact camera-rig and audio-bag setups. The bodypack measures 3.86 by 2.68 by 1 inch and weighs 89 g without batteries.

Mount the receiver with the included WA311 non-conductive cold shoe adapter, or place it in an audio bag using the included protective sleeve and carrying pouch. Connect the receiver's 3.5 mm camera output to the appropriate camera, recorder, or mixer input and select balanced mono or dual-mono operation as needed. The SLXD1+ uses a 4-pin TA4M input, so a compatible TA4F microphone, headset, or instrument cable is required separately for this no-microphone system.
