The Shure SLXD14+/153T-G57 is a single-channel digital wireless bodypack system built for presenters, instructors, worship teams, performers, and production environments that need hands-free speech reinforcement. It combines an SLXD4+ rackmount-capable receiver, an SLXD1+ bodypack transmitter, and a tan MX153T omnidirectional earset microphone. The G57 version operates across the 470–608 MHz frequency range.

This system is designed to provide a practical alternative to handheld microphones when the user needs freedom to move while keeping the microphone consistently positioned. The low-profile MX153T earset places its capsule close to the speaker, helping maintain steady vocal pickup during presentations and active use. Three included windscreens provide options for reducing breath and wind noise.

Its digital wireless platform delivers 24-bit audio with a stated dynamic range of more than 118 dB. The system audio path has a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and 2.8 ms latency, supporting natural speech and vocal reproduction. A selectable high-pass filter at 160 Hz can help reduce low-frequency handling noise and rumble when needed.

The SLXD4+ receiver supports automatic setup and uses Shure Digital Feedback Reducer software to address unwanted acoustic feedback. AES-256 encryption is installed in the SLX-D+ system components. The receiver also supports Ethernet networking, Wireless Workbench software, and WWB Mobile control through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity.

For system expansion and managed installations, the G57 band provides a 138 MHz tuning range and supports up to 11 simultaneous systems in 6 MHz TV bands or up to 14 simultaneous systems in 8 MHz TV bands. ShowLink Ease enables remote adjustment of linked transmitter settings from the receiver, including frequency, RF output power, control locks, and firmware. The receiver can be placed on a tabletop or installed in a rack with the included hardware.

Key Features

  • G57 UHF Tuning Range: Operates from 470 to 608 MHz for broad frequency coordination capability.
  • MX153T Earset Microphone: Includes a tan omnidirectional electret condenser microphone for hands-free vocal use.
  • 24-Bit Digital Audio: Provides a wide stated dynamic range and low 2.8 ms system latency.
  • Digital Feedback Reducer: Embedded receiver software helps reduce acoustic feedback when it occurs.
  • ShowLink Ease Control: Allows remote management of linked transmitter parameters from the receiver.
  • Flexible Power Options: The bodypack runs on two AA cells or an optional SB903 rechargeable battery.

Design & Installation

The SLXD4+ receiver uses a galvanized-steel housing and measures 1.65 x 7.76 x 5.98 inches, making it suitable for tabletop placement or rack installation. Its rear panel includes two BNC antenna inputs, balanced XLR and 1/4-inch audio outputs, Ethernet networking, and a 15 V DC power input. The SLXD1+ bodypack uses a PC/ABS housing and weighs 89 g without batteries.

Attach the two supplied quarter-wave antennas to the receiver, connect its XLR or 1/4-inch output to a mixer, amplifier, or audio interface, and power the receiver with the included supply. Connect the MX153T to the bodypack's TA4M input, install the supplied AA batteries, then link the transmitter and receiver using the system setup process. Check local frequency coordination and wireless-microphone regulations before operating the G57-band system.
