Shure SLXD24+/B87A-G57 Wireless Handheld Microphone System
$969.00
Mogami PLATINUM STUDIO 50 50-Foot XLR Microphone Cable
$259.95
The Shure SLXD24+/B87A-G57 is a single-channel digital wireless handheld microphone system for live vocals, presentations, houses of worship, education, and event production. It pairs the SLXD4+ rackmount receiver with an SLXD2+ handheld transmitter fitted with a Beta 87A supercardioid condenser capsule. The G57 version operates across the 470–608 MHz frequency band.
This system is designed for users who need a professional wireless vocal solution with clear digital audio and practical RF coordination tools. Its 24-bit digital transmission provides a stated dynamic range of more than 118 dB, while the Beta 87A capsule is voiced for detailed vocal reproduction. The supercardioid pickup pattern helps focus on the performer and reduce pickup from surrounding sources.
The SLX-D+ platform combines a 138 MHz tuning range with automatic setup and interference-aware operation. In compatible channel widths, it supports up to 11 simultaneous systems in 6 MHz TV bands or up to 14 in 8 MHz TV bands. AES-256 encryption is included to help secure transmitted audio.
The SLXD4+ receiver adds Shure Digital Feedback Reducer processing, Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity, Ethernet networking, and remote management support through Wireless Workbench and the WWB Mobile app. ShowLink Ease allows linked transmitter settings, including frequency, output power, control locks, and firmware, to be adjusted remotely. Balanced XLR and 1/4-inch outputs allow connection to mixers, powered speakers, installed audio systems, or recording interfaces.
For an expandable workflow, the system can be used alongside other compatible SLX-D+ equipment in the same frequency band. The included transmitter runs for up to eight hours on two AA batteries, while optional Shure SB903 rechargeable batteries support a rechargeable power path. Rack hardware, antennas, a microphone clip, power supply, carrying pouch, and AA batteries are included for a complete starting system.
Key Features
- Beta 87A Capsule: Supercardioid condenser vocal capsule with a smooth, detailed vocal response.
- 24-Bit Digital Audio: Delivers transparent wireless audio with over 118 dB dynamic range.
- G57 Frequency Band: Operates from 470–608 MHz with 138 MHz of tuning range.
- Remote System Control: Bluetooth, Ethernet, Wireless Workbench, and WWB Mobile support flexible monitoring.
- AES-256 Encryption: Helps protect transmitted audio in professional wireless applications.
- Digital Feedback Reducer: Built-in receiver processing can automatically reduce unwanted feedback.
Design & Installation
The SLXD4+ receiver uses a galvanized-steel housing and a compact half-rack, 1U form factor. The SLXD2+ handheld transmitter has an aluminum housing, while the Beta 87A capsule incorporates a hardened steel grille, internal pop filter, and shock-mounted cartridge design. The receiver has a backlit LCD display, two removable BNC antennas, balanced audio outputs, and a single Ethernet port.
Install the receiver on a stable surface or use the supplied rackmount kit, then attach both included quarter-wave antennas before powering the system. Connect its XLR or 1/4-inch output to an audio system, scan or select an appropriate legal operating frequency, and synchronize the transmitter with the receiver. For venues with several wireless channels, use compatible G57-band equipment and coordinate frequencies with Wireless Workbench or the WWB Mobile app.
