Shure SLXD4D+ Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver

The Shure SLXD4D+ is a dual-channel digital wireless receiver designed for professional microphone and audio systems. It provides two independent wireless channels in a compact half-rack chassis, helping venues, presenters, performers, educators, and production teams manage multiple sources without adding separate receivers. This receiver-only model is intended to be paired with compatible Shure SLX-D+ transmitters and microphones.

Its 24-bit digital audio path is engineered for clear, natural reproduction with a specified dynamic range greater than 118 dB. The receiver supports a 20 Hz to 20 kHz audio frequency response and low total harmonic distortion, making it suitable for speech, vocals, presentations, houses of worship, classrooms, and installed sound. Adjustable output gain and selectable mic or line XLR output support integration with mixers, DSP processors, and PA systems.

The G57 version tunes from 470 to 608 MHz, providing a 138 MHz tuning range for flexible frequency coordination. Automatic setup helps linked SLX-D+ receivers and transmitters remain connected when RF conditions change. Shure specifies support for up to 11 simultaneous systems in 6 MHz TV bands or up to 14 simultaneous systems in 8 MHz TV bands, subject to local RF conditions and frequency coordination.

Network control expands the receiver beyond front-panel operation. Its Ethernet connection supports Wireless Workbench desktop software, Wireless Workbench Mobile monitoring, third-party setup and control, and firmware-management workflows. Built-in Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity supports remote monitoring and control through compatible Shure software.

The SLXD4D+ adds practical tools for more controlled wireless operation, including AES-256 audio encryption, patented Shure Digital Feedback Reducer processing, and audio summing on dual receivers. ShowLink Ease allows compatible linked transmitter parameters to be adjusted remotely, including frequency, RF power, control locks, and transmitter firmware. It is a focused upgrade path for users building a coordinated two-channel wireless system with modern networked management.

Design & Installation

The SLXD4D+ uses a rugged galvanized-steel housing in a compact half-rack format. It measures 42 x 197 x 152 mm and weighs 930 g without antennas. Its front-panel LCD interface, removable antennas, BNC antenna connections, and balanced audio outputs support professional rack and desktop installations.

Install the receiver where its antennas have a clear RF path and away from sources of interference when possible. Connect each channel to a mixer or audio processor using the appropriate XLR or 6.35 mm output, select mic or line level as needed, and use the Ethernet port for coordinated monitoring and configuration. A compatible SLX-D+ transmitter is required for each wireless channel; this receiver-only SKU does not include transmitters or microphones.
