Mogami PLATINUM STUDIO 50 50-Foot XLR Microphone Cable $259.95

The Shure SLXD24+/N8C-G57 is a single-channel digital wireless handheld microphone system for live performance, installed sound, presentations, houses of worship, and event production. It pairs the SLXD4+ half-rack receiver with an SLXD2+ handheld transmitter fitted with a Nexadyne 8/C cardioid dynamic capsule. The G57 version operates across the 470–608 MHz UHF band.

This system is intended for users who need a straightforward wireless vocal path with professional control options and dependable system management. The receiver provides automatic setup, IR synchronization, interference-management tools, and monitoring through Shure software. Its single-channel format suits individual vocalists, presenters, or installations that need one dedicated wireless microphone channel.

Audio is delivered in 24-bit digital format with a specified 118 dB dynamic range and 2.8 ms system latency. The Nexadyne 8/C capsule uses a cardioid pickup pattern to emphasize the performer in front of the microphone while helping reduce sound arriving from the rear. Its dynamic moving-coil design and 50 Hz to 20 kHz response support detailed vocal reproduction for amplified sound systems.

Shure Revonic dual-engine transducer technology is built into the Nexadyne 8/C capsule. Two calibrated transducers work together to reduce unwanted vibration and handling noise while supporting consistent polar response and off-axis rejection. The receiver also includes Shure Digital Feedback Reducer processing, which can deploy up to 16 filters to help manage feedback frequencies.

The SLX-D+ platform provides an upgrade path for managed wireless systems. ShowLink Ease allows linked receiver control of compatible transmitter settings, including frequency, RF power, controls lock status, and firmware updates. The receiver can also connect through Ethernet for Wireless Workbench control, while Bluetooth Low Energy supports use with the WWB Mobile app.

Key Features

  • G57 UHF Band: Covers 470–608 MHz with a 138 MHz tuning range.
  • Nexadyne 8/C Capsule: Cardioid dynamic capsule uses Revonic dual-engine transducer technology.
  • 24-Bit Digital Audio: Provides 118 dB typical dynamic range and 2.8 ms latency.
  • Automatic Interference Management: Can identify interference and deploy a backup frequency automatically.
  • Digital Feedback Reduction: Offers up to 16 adaptive filters per receiver channel.
  • Flexible Monitoring: Supports Ethernet management plus Bluetooth connection to WWB Mobile.

Design & Installation

The SLXD4+ receiver uses a galvanized-steel enclosure in a compact half-rack format, while the SLXD2+ handheld transmitter has an aluminum housing. The Nexadyne 8/C wireless capsule uses an aluminum body with a steel grille. The system includes two quarter-wave antennas, a rackmount kit, a microphone clip, a carrying pouch, two AA batteries, and the required power supply.

Place the receiver where its antennas have a clear RF path to the performer, then connect its balanced XLR or balanced 1/4-inch output to a mixer, powered speaker, or audio system. Use the receiver's channel scan and IR sync functions to coordinate the included transmitter before operation. For expanded management, connect the receiver's Ethernet port to a network or pair it through Bluetooth with the WWB Mobile app; optional SB903 rechargeable batteries and compatible chargers may be used in place of AA batteries.
