The Shure SLXD4QDAN+=-G57 is a four-channel digital wireless receiver designed for professional sound systems that need to manage multiple microphone channels from a compact rack location. It combines four receivers in a single rack space, helping reduce the rack footprint for installed systems, portable production racks, conference facilities, and performance venues. The G57 version operates across the 470–608 MHz band.

This Dante-equipped receiver is intended for users building networked audio systems with compatible Shure SLX-D and SLX-D+ transmitters. Dante audio can carry the receiver's digital audio over Ethernet to compatible networked audio equipment, while analog XLR and 1/4-inch outputs remain available for conventional mixer connections. It is a receiver-only component, so compatible transmitters and microphones are selected separately to suit the application.

Shure specifies transparent 24-bit digital audio, a 118 dB dynamic range, less than 0.02% total harmonic distortion, and a 20 Hz to 20 kHz audio frequency response. These specifications support clear speech, vocal, and presentation audio in systems where consistent gain structure and intelligibility are important. A selectable high-pass filter can be used to reduce low-frequency content when needed.

The receiver uses digital predictive switching diversity to support stable RF reception, with a 138 MHz tuning range for the G57 band. Automatic setup and IR synchronization simplify linking compatible transmitters, while AES-256 encryption is included for secure audio transmission. Shure Digital Feedback Reducer software is also built into the receiver to help manage unwanted feedback.

For expansion, the SLXD4QDAN+ provides RF cascade connections and switchable antenna bias voltage. Audio Summing can configure the four channels into four, three, two, or one analog output grouping to accommodate available mixer inputs. Network control is supported through Ethernet, including use with Shure Wireless Workbench software and compatible third-party control systems.

Key Features

  • Four-Channel Receiver: Consolidates four wireless receiver channels into one rack space.
  • G57 Frequency Band: Operates from 470 to 608 MHz with 138 MHz tuning coverage.
  • 24-Bit Digital Audio: Delivers a specified 118 dB dynamic range and low distortion.
  • Dante Audio Networking: Sends digital audio over Ethernet to compatible Dante systems.
  • Audio Summing: Groups channels to suit four, three, two, or one mixer inputs.
  • RF Cascade: Supports multi-receiver expansion without a separate RF distribution system.

Design & Installation

The SLXD4QDAN+ uses a galvanized-steel housing in a 1RU rackmount format. Its front-panel control and display arrangement provides access to four receiver channels, while the rear panel provides antenna, analog audio, RF cascade, power, and network connections. The unit measures 42 x 393 x 152 mm and weighs 1.75 kg without antennas.

Install the receiver in a standard equipment rack using the supplied hardware and brackets, then attach the included quarter-wave antennas or use the supplied bulkhead adapters and BNC cables for front-mounted antenna arrangements. Connect compatible SLX-D or SLX-D+ transmitters by IR sync, choose analog XLR or 1/4-inch outputs for a conventional mixer, or connect Ethernet for Dante audio networking. Use the RF cascade ports when linking additional SLX-D+ quad receivers, and verify permitted frequencies for the installation location before operation.
