Shure SLXD4+ Single-Channel Digital Wireless Receiver

The Shure SLXD4+ is a single-channel digital wireless receiver for professional microphone and instrument wireless systems. It is designed for live sound, houses of worship, presentations, education, broadcast support, and installed AV applications where dependable wireless audio is needed. This G57-version receiver operates across 470 to 608 MHz and is supplied without a transmitter or microphone.

Built around 24-bit digital audio, the SLXD4+ is intended to preserve clear, natural vocal and instrument detail from a compatible wireless transmitter to a mixer, powered speaker system, or installed audio rack. Its specified audio frequency response reaches from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, with a typical dynamic range of 118 dB. Low 2.8 ms system latency helps keep the wireless path responsive for spoken-word and performance use.

The receiver uses a 138 MHz tuning range in the G57 band, helping operators coordinate systems across a broad portion of the UHF spectrum. Shure specifies support for up to 11 simultaneous systems in 6 MHz TV bands or up to 14 simultaneous systems in 8 MHz TV bands. Actual RF performance and usable channels depend on local spectrum conditions, antenna placement, and regional frequency regulations.

SLX-D+ Automatic Setup helps a linked receiver and transmitter remain connected in changing RF conditions. ShowLink Ease provides remote transmitter control functions through a linked compatible system, including frequency changes, transmitter power adjustment, control locking, and firmware updates. Embedded Shure Digital Feedback Reducer processing is also included to help reduce unwanted feedback when it occurs.

The SLXD4+ fits easily into compact professional systems with its single-channel half-rack format and included rackmount hardware. Balanced XLR and 1/4-inch outputs allow connection to professional mixers and audio processors, while Ethernet supports networked setup and monitoring. It can be monitored and controlled with Shure Wireless Workbench software or the WWB Mobile app.

Design & Installation

The SLXD4+ uses a galvanized-steel housing designed for tabletop or rack installation. Its half-rack width makes it practical for compact portable racks, installed AV systems, and multi-channel wireless deployments. Two removable BNC-connected antennas support the receiver's RF section, while the front-panel display and controls provide local system access.

For installation, connect the receiver's balanced XLR or balanced 1/4-inch output to an available mixer, DSP, or audio input, then connect the supplied external 15 V DC power supply. Use the included rackmount kit for rack placement and position the antennas with clear separation from obstructing metal or other RF sources. A compatible SLX-D+ transmitter and appropriate microphone, instrument cable, or audio source are required for operation.
