SE Electronics V7MC2RDMP3 Wireless Microphone Capsule

The sE Electronics V7MC2RDMP3 is a red V7 MC2 dynamic wireless microphone capsule made for compatible Sennheiser handheld wireless transmitters. It lets performers change the vocal capsule on an existing wireless handheld transmitter rather than replacing the entire wireless system. This model is intended for vocal and speech applications where wireless mobility is needed.

The V7 MC2 uses a dynamic DMC7 capsule with a supercardioid pickup pattern. Its 40 Hz to 19 kHz frequency range and 2.0 mV/Pa sensitivity support detailed vocal capture while the focused pattern helps reduce pickup from the sides. The supercardioid design is also intended to support useful gain before feedback in live sound systems.

An aluminum voice coil and neodymium magnet are used in the capsule assembly. The microphone capsule has a 300-ohm electrical impedance and uses gold-plated contacts at the transmitter connection. These contacts are designed to provide a reliable electrical connection between the capsule and compatible wireless transmitter.

The V7 MC2 incorporates sE Electronics' patented integrated shockmount system. This suspension design decouples the capsule from mechanical vibration to help reduce handling noise during handheld use. An internal windscreen helps reduce wind noise and vocal plosives, and a spare black screen is included.

This red version provides a visual option for performers, venues, rental inventories, houses of worship, and presentation systems using compatible Sennheiser handheld transmitters. It is a capsule-only upgrade, so a compatible Sennheiser wireless handheld transmitter and its associated receiver system are required. The included MP03 pouch and thread cover help protect the capsule when it is removed from the transmitter.

Design & Installation

The capsule uses an all-metal housing with a durable zinc-alloy chassis and a beveled spring-steel grille. The grille's beveled edge helps keep the handheld microphone from rolling when set down. Its metal construction is designed for regular stage and touring use.

Install the V7 MC2 by removing the existing capsule from a compatible Sennheiser handheld transmitter and fitting this capsule in its place according to the transmitter and capsule instructions. This product is not a complete wireless microphone system and does not include a transmitter or receiver. Use the included thread cover and MP03 protective pouch when transporting or storing the capsule separately.
