The sE Electronics V7 MC2 is a replacement wireless microphone capsule designed for compatible Sennheiser handheld wireless transmitters. This brushed-nickel V7MC2NIMP3 version lets performers change the capsule on an existing wireless handheld rather than replacing the entire system. It is intended for live vocals and speech applications where a focused dynamic capsule is preferred.

Its DMC7 dynamic capsule uses an aluminum voice coil and a supercardioid pickup pattern. The design is voiced for a crisp, open vocal character while helping reduce pickup from off-axis stage sources. This makes it a practical option for singers, presenters, houses of worship, and live-sound systems with nearby monitors or instruments.

The supercardioid pattern is engineered to provide isolation and support gain before feedback when the system is set up correctly. A patented integrated shockmount decouples the capsule from mechanical vibration to help reduce handling noise. An internal windscreen helps limit wind noise and plosive pops during close vocal use.

The V7 MC2 uses gold-plated contacts for its connection to the compatible transmitter. Its 300-ohm electrical impedance, 40 Hz to 19 kHz frequency range, and 2.0 mV/Pa sensitivity are specified by sE Electronics for the capsule. It is not a complete wireless microphone and requires a compatible Sennheiser handheld transmitter to operate.

For an existing Sennheiser wireless setup, the V7 MC2 provides a direct capsule-level upgrade path with V7-series dynamic microphone technology. The 54 mm diameter head is housed in metal, with a zinc-alloy chassis and a beveled spring-steel grille. The included MP03 protective pouch and thread cover support storage and transport when the capsule is removed from the transmitter.

Installation consists of removing the existing compatible transmitter head and fitting the V7 MC2 capsule according to the transmitter and capsule instructions.
