The sE Electronics V7MC1RDMP3 is a red V7 MC1 dynamic microphone capsule designed to bring the V7 vocal sound to a compatible wireless handheld transmitter. It is intended for singers and speakers who already use a supported Shure wireless system and want to change the capsule without replacing the entire system. The MP03 pouch pack adds protective storage accessories for transport between rehearsals, shows, and events.

Its supercardioid pickup pattern is designed to focus on the intended voice while reducing pickup from surrounding stage sources. The capsule uses an aluminum voice coil and neodymium magnet, with a stated 40 Hz to 19 kHz frequency range. This combination is suited to live vocals and speech where clear, detailed voice reproduction and controlled off-axis pickup are useful.

The V7 MC1 incorporates sE Electronics' integrated shockmount system to isolate the capsule from mechanical vibration. This helps reduce handling noise when the handheld transmitter is moved during a performance or presentation. A switchable internal windscreen helps reduce wind noise and plosive pops at close vocal distances.

Built for regular stage use, the capsule has an all-metal housing with a durable zinc-alloy chassis and a beveled spring-steel grille. The beveled grille shape helps keep the microphone from rolling when placed on a flat surface. Gold-plated contacts support a reliable connection between the capsule and the compatible handheld transmitter.

This capsule is a system upgrade rather than a complete wireless microphone. It requires a compatible Shure handheld transmitter and wireless receiver setup to operate. It is compatible with Shure handheld transmitters except BLX and GLX-D series models, and sE Electronics also lists compatibility with Audio-Technica 3000 Series wireless systems.

Design & Installation

The V7 MC1 uses an all-metal construction with a zinc-alloy chassis, spring-steel grille, gold-plated contacts, and an integrated capsule shockmount. Its red finish is paired with a red internal windscreen, while a black replacement windscreen is included. The 54 mm diameter and 92 mm overall length retain a handheld microphone profile when installed.

Installation requires a compatible handheld transmitter; remove the existing transmitter capsule according to the transmitter manufacturer's instructions, then fit the V7 MC1 and secure the threaded connection. Do not use it with Shure BLX or GLX-D handheld transmitters. Use the included thread cover and MP03 protective pouch when the capsule is removed or transported.
