The RØDE Wireless Micro WIMICROCBLU is a compact two-person wireless microphone system designed for recording directly to USB-C smartphones. Its plug-in receiver eliminates the need for an audio cable between the phone and receiver, helping keep mobile video rigs simple and uncluttered. Two clip-on transmitters with built-in microphones let creators capture dialogue from two people at once.

This system suits smartphone videographers, social-media creators, interviewers, presenters, and anyone who needs clearer voice capture than a phone microphone can typically provide. The transmitters pair automatically with the receiver for a straightforward setup process. They can be clipped to clothing or used with the included magnetic attachments for flexible placement.

Each transmitter uses an omnidirectional built-in microphone with a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range and a maximum SPL rating of 135 dB. RØDE's GainAssist technology automatically manages recording levels to help maintain balanced audio across changing voice levels. The built-in acoustic chamber is designed to reduce the effect of wind noise and plosives on spoken-word recordings.

The Wireless Micro provides more than 100 meters of transmission range and operates for up to 7 hours per transmitter charge. Its charging case supplies two additional transmitter charges, for up to 21 hours of total operating time. Included furry windshields provide additional wind-noise reduction for outdoor recording.

For a mobile content workflow, the USB-C receiver connects directly to a compatible smartphone and works with apps that accept USB audio. The receiver can also be used as a class-compliant USB audio interface with computers for stereo or dual-mono recording. Design & Installation

The blue Wireless Micro system uses ultra-compact transmitters with integrated clothing clips, separate magnetic attachments, and a pocket-sized charging case. Each transmitter weighs 12 g without its magnet or 18 g with it, while the USB-C receiver weighs 6 g. The transmitters include an acoustic chamber around their built-in microphones and feature a splashproof design for mobile recording use.

For setup, charge the case with the included USB-C to USB-C cable, remove the transmitters from the case, and plug the USB-C receiver into a compatible phone. Clip each transmitter near the speaker's mouth, avoiding heavy obstruction from clothing or hair; use the included furry windshields in windier outdoor conditions. The receiver works with recording apps that accept USB audio, while RØDE Central and RØDE Capture provide access to supported settings and firmware updates.
