The RØDE RØDECaster Pro II is a desktop audio production studio for podcasting, streaming, music recording and content creation. It combines a mixer, multichannel USB interface, recorder, headphone amplifier and sound-pad controller in one unit. This helps creators manage microphones, computers, mobile devices and playback sources without assembling a separate rack of audio gear.

Four Neutrik combo inputs accept microphones, line-level sources and instruments, making the unit suitable for solo shows, roundtable podcasts, livestreams and compact music-recording sessions. Revolution preamps provide up to 76dB of gain with low equivalent input noise, helping support dynamic microphones without relying on an external inline gain booster. Four headphone outputs and balanced monitor outputs make it practical for multi-person monitoring and speaker connection.

The RØDECaster Pro II is designed for clear, controlled spoken-word and production audio. Per-channel APHEX processing includes a compressor, de-esser, high-pass filter, noise gate and three-band EQ, while Aural Exciter, Big Bottom and Compellor processing provide additional tone-shaping options. Settings can be adjusted on the 5.5-inch touchscreen using the rotary encoder and tactile controls.

Its nine assignable channels can be arranged around a particular workflow, with six physical faders and three virtual faders available for source control. Two USB-C interfaces support connections to computers or mobile devices, and Bluetooth audio supports Music and Headset profiles for wireless sources and calls. Eight SMART pads across eight banks provide up to 64 configurable actions for sounds, effects, MIDI commands and mixer functions.

For recording flexibility, the RØDECaster Pro II can capture stereo or multitrack audio to microSD media, a compatible USB-C storage drive or a connected computer. It fits well as the central control point in a desktop studio with microphones, headphones, monitor speakers and one or two host devices. It is not a vehicle head unit or a car-audio component; it is intended for desktop production setups.

Design & Installation

The RØDECaster Pro II is a desktop production console with six physical faders, four headphone level controls, eight RGB SMART pads, a 5.5-inch high-definition touchscreen and a rotary encoder with haptic feedback. Its rear panel groups the four Neutrik combo inputs, balanced 1/4-inch line outputs, four 1/4-inch headphone outputs, USB-C ports, Ethernet connection, microSD card slot and dedicated USB-C PD power connection for organized studio wiring.

Place the unit on a stable desktop within reach of microphones, headphones and monitor speakers. Connect microphones or instruments to the combo inputs, headphones to the 1/4-inch outputs, and powered monitors to the balanced line outputs; use the supplied USB-C cable for a compatible host device. Direct recording requires a microSDHC card, microSDXC card or compatible USB-C removable drive, while a 30W USB-C PD power source is required for operation.
