Shure GLXD14+/SM35-Z3 Digital Wireless Headset System
$719.00
Mogami GOLD STAGE-50 50 Ft XLR Microphone Cable
$194.95
The Shure GLXD14+/SM35-Z3 is a single-channel digital wireless headset microphone system for presenters, fitness instructors, performers, worship teams, and other hands-free vocal applications. It combines an SM35 cardioid headset microphone, GLXD1+ bodypack transmitter, and GLXD4+ tabletop receiver. The system is designed to provide a clean wireless microphone path without requiring conventional UHF frequency coordination.
Its GLX-D+ wireless platform operates across the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands, allowing the system to scan for and use available spectrum automatically. Intelligent frequency management monitors the wireless environment and can move to a cleaner channel when interference is detected. This makes it a practical choice for portable PA systems, installed sound setups, and events using Wi-Fi-heavy environments.
The SM35 is an electret condenser headset microphone with a cardioid pickup pattern that helps focus on the person wearing it. Its headworn format keeps microphone placement consistent as the user moves, helping maintain a stable vocal level. The microphone is intended for live stage and vocal performance use with a wireless bodypack transmitter.
The GLXD1+ bodypack uses the included Shure SB904 rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Shure rates the battery for up to 12 hours of runtime, and the system supports charging the battery in the receiver or charging the bodypack through USB-C. A 15-minute quick charge can provide up to 1.5 hours of use.
The GLXD4+ tabletop receiver connects to a mixer, powered speaker, amplifier, or PA system through balanced XLR or 1/4-inch audio outputs. It provides adjustable receiver gain and a backlit display for system status. For larger wireless deployments, GLX-D+ can be expanded with separately available frequency-management and antenna-distribution accessories.
Key Features
- Dual-Band Wireless: Operates in the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands for expanded spectrum options.
- Automatic Frequency Management: Monitors available spectrum and helps avoid interference during use.
- SM35 Cardioid Headset: Provides focused headworn vocal pickup for active performers and presenters.
- Rechargeable SB904 Battery: Delivers up to 12 hours of runtime per charge.
- Quick-Charge Capability: A 15-minute charge provides up to 1.5 hours of operation.
- Balanced Audio Outputs: Connects to sound systems through XLR and 1/4-inch outputs.
Design & Installation
The GLXD4+ receiver uses a PC/ABS housing with dual-band half-wave sleeve-dipole antennas, while the GLXD1+ bodypack combines aluminum alloy and ABS construction. The SM35 headset is a lightweight electret condenser design with a flexible boom and supplied foam windscreen. Its cardioid pattern and headworn placement are intended to support intelligible live vocals while allowing the performer to move freely.
Connect the GLXD4+ receiver to AC power with the included PS43 supply, then connect its balanced XLR or 1/4-inch output to a mixer, powered speaker, or amplifier input. Insert the charged SB904 battery into the GLXD1+, connect the SM35's TA4F connector, and link the bodypack and receiver as directed by the system setup process. Position the microphone boom at the corner of the mouth rather than directly in front of it to help reduce breath noise and plosives.
