The Mackie SRT215 is a self-powered, two-way professional PA loudspeaker built around a 15-inch low-frequency driver and a 1.4-inch high-frequency compression driver. Its integrated amplification and onboard mixer reduce the amount of external equipment needed for small live-sound systems. It is suited to performers, DJs, venues, presenters, and event operators who need a portable full-range loudspeaker.

The cabinet delivers a stated 42 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response at -10 dB and a maximum peak SPL of 133 dB. A 90-degree horizontal by 60-degree vertical coverage pattern helps focus sound across an audience area. Five selectable speaker voicings provide starting points for different applications, including Flat, Live, Speech, Club, and Monitor modes.

SRT Mix Control combines two independent mic/line/instrument-capable input channels, a stereo 1/8-inch auxiliary input, Bluetooth audio, and internal mixing functions. The rear color display and single rotary control provide access to levels, EQ, delay, presets, and configuration. This makes the SRT215 practical for compact systems where a separate mixer may not be required.

Advanced Impulse DSP is used for crossover processing and transducer time alignment, while the Sym-X horn is engineered for controlled high-frequency coverage. The system uses a 24 dB-per-octave electronic crossover at 2.0 kHz. Peak and RMS limiting, power-supply protection, and amplifier thermal protection are included to help manage demanding operating conditions.

The SRT215 can operate upright on the floor, on a speaker pole, or on its angled side as a floor monitor. It also includes M10 fly points for professionally designed permanent or flown installations. For expanded systems, its direct outputs and mix output support signal routing to additional loudspeakers, while its subwoofer high-pass settings support use with compatible Mackie subwoofers.

Key Features

  • 15-Inch Two-Way Design: Combines a 15-inch ferrite woofer with a 1.4-inch polymer compression driver.
  • 1600W Peak Class-D Amplification: Built-in dual amplification powers the low- and high-frequency sections.
  • SRT Mix Control: Provides a built-in four-channel digital mixer with Bluetooth audio streaming.
  • Advanced Impulse DSP: Uses DSP tuning, crossover processing, and time alignment for controlled system response.
  • Sym-X Horn: Delivers 90-degree horizontal by 60-degree vertical high-frequency coverage.
  • Flexible System Placement: Supports pole mounting, floor-monitor use, and qualified M10 fly-point installation.

Design & Installation

The SRT215 uses an asymmetrical black polypropylene enclosure with a light black textured finish. Its grille is made from 16- to 18-gauge perforated steel with nylon net backing and a powder-coated black finish. Two side handles and one partial top handle aid transport, while front power/signal and rear speaker-control LEDs provide status indication.

Connect microphones, line-level sources, or instruments to the two XLR/1/4-inch combo inputs, and use the 1/8-inch stereo input for an auxiliary playback source. Use a stable stand or pole rated for the loudspeaker's weight when elevating it, or place the cabinet on its angled side for monitor duty. Flown installation requires qualified personnel, appropriate load-rated hardware, and use of the integrated M10 mounting points rather than the handles.
