The Mackie SRM212 V-Class is a self-powered 12-inch loudspeaker built for portable PA, stage-monitor, and installed sound duties. Its integrated amplification and onboard mixer reduce the need for separate processing gear in smaller sound systems. It is suited to musicians, DJs, presenters, venues, houses of worship, and event setups that need a flexible full-range speaker.

A 12-inch low-frequency driver and 1.4-inch polymer compression driver cover the main frequency range for music, speech, and playback. The system is rated for a 135 dB peak maximum SPL and a 42 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range at -10 dB. This makes it appropriate for applications where clear vocal projection and substantial full-range output are needed from one enclosure.

The SRM212 V-Class uses a 2,000-watt peak Class-D amplifier platform, with separate LF and HF amplification. Mackie's Advanced Impulse DSP handles crossover and time-alignment functions, while Intelligent Bass Management is designed to maintain tonal balance at higher output levels. Built-in system protection includes peak and RMS limiting, thermal protection, overcurrent protection, and over-voltage protection.

Its SRM Mix Control section provides a built-in digital mixer with two combo XLR/TRS input channels, a stereo 1/8-inch input, direct outputs, and a mix output. A full-color rear-panel display and rotary controller provide access to levels, EQ, voicing, delay, crossover settings, and saved presets. Bluetooth streaming and the SRM Connect app add wireless playback and remote control capability.

The cabinet can serve as a vertical main PA speaker or as a 45-degree wedge monitor. Dual pole-mount angles support either straight placement or a 7-degree downward tilt, while integrated M10 points support qualified suspended installations. Add a compatible subwoofer when more low-frequency extension is needed, or use the speaker on its own for compact full-range systems.

Design & Installation

The SRM212 V-Class uses an asymmetrical black polypropylene enclosure with a light black textured finish. Its grille is made from 16-18 gauge perforated steel with nylon backing and a powder-coated black finish. The enclosure includes two side handles and a partial top handle for transport.

Place it on the floor, use its built-in pole socket, or use the wedge orientation for stage monitoring. The two pole angles provide straight or 7-degree downward placement, and the cabinet has integrated M10 mounting points for properly planned overhead installation. Connect microphones, line-level sources, instruments on Channel 2 in Hi-Z mode, or a stereo 1/8-inch playback source; a detachable IEC power cord is included, while stands, poles, covers, rolling bags, and eyebolt hardware are optional accessories.
