AUDIO360 AD0C 0 AWG Amplifier Wiring Kit $78.00
Bundle total: $818.00

The Fender Rumble 500 V3 is a bass combo amplifier that combines an integrated 2x10 speaker cabinet with a Class-D amplifier section. It is designed for bassists who want a compact all-in-one rig with enough output for rehearsal, stage use, recording connections, and expansion with an external cabinet. The cabinet delivers 350 watts into its internal 8-ohm speaker load, with up to 500 watts available at 4 ohms when used with an external speaker.

Its two 10-inch Eminence-designed ceramic-magnet speakers provide a focused bass platform, while the built-in compression horn adds upper-frequency definition. A rear horn switch allows the horn to be turned on or off to suit the player’s preferred top-end response. The ported lightweight plywood enclosure helps keep the combo manageable at 36.5 pounds.

The Rumble 500 V3 offers clean bass amplification along with selectable overdrive for added harmonic content. Gain, Drive, Level, and Master controls make it possible to balance clean and driven sounds from the front panel. Fender’s Delta-Comp limiter is also built in to add compression and sustain as output level or playing intensity increases.

Sound shaping includes a four-band EQ with Bass, Low-Mid, High-Mid, and Treble controls, plus Bright, Contour, and Vintage voicing switches. Bright adds upper-frequency presence, Contour reshapes the mids with low- and high-frequency boosts, and Vintage adds compression with a darker filtered response. These controls allow the amp to cover direct, rounded, scooped, and more driven bass tones without requiring external processing.

For system integration, the Rumble 500 V3 includes a balanced XLR line output with ground lift for PA systems and recording consoles. A 1/4-inch effects loop supports outboard effects, while the auxiliary input and headphone output support practice use. An external 8-ohm minimum speaker cabinet can be connected to access the amplifier’s 500-watt output capability.

Key Features

  • Class-D Amplifier: Delivers efficient bass amplification in a lightweight combo format.
  • 2x10 Eminence Speakers: Two ceramic-magnet drivers provide the internal 8-ohm load.
  • 500-Watt Expansion: Reaches 500 watts at 4 ohms with an external speaker.
  • Selectable Overdrive: Adds adjustable driven tone and supports optional footswitch control.
  • Three Voicing Switches: Bright, Contour, and Vintage switches reshape the amplifier voice.
  • Balanced XLR Line Out: Connects to PA systems and recording equipment with ground lift.

Design & Installation

The Rumble 500 V3 uses a lightweight plywood cabinet with black textured vinyl covering, a silver grille cloth, and a removable grille. Its painted-metal front panel, vintage-style radio knobs, molded plastic strap handle, and nickel-plated handle caps support its practical combo-amp layout. The ported enclosure measures 19 inches wide, 23 inches high, and 14 inches deep.

Connect a bass to the 1/4-inch input and use the IEC power cable with a grounded AC outlet matching the amplifier’s voltage rating. For more output, connect an external speaker cabinet rated at 8 ohms minimum and with a power rating that meets or exceeds the amplifier rating; make speaker connections with the power off. Leave at least 6 inches of clearance around the vents for proper cooling, and use the XLR output, effects loop, aux input, and headphone jack as needed for the application.
