The Shure SLXD2+/N8C is a digital wireless handheld transmitter fitted with a Nexadyne 8/C cardioid dynamic microphone capsule. It is designed for live vocals, speech, houses of worship, presentations, clubs, and production environments where reliable wireless operation matters. This G57 version operates in the 470–608 MHz UHF range and requires a compatible Shure SLX-D+ receiver.

Its 24-bit digital wireless platform delivers a wide 118 dB dynamic range with 2.8 ms system latency. The Nexadyne 8/C capsule uses a cardioid pickup pattern to focus on the person using the microphone while helping reduce sound arriving from behind the mic. It is a practical choice for performers and presenters who need clear vocal reproduction in a handheld format.

The included Nexadyne 8/C capsule uses Shure Revonic dual-engine transducer technology with two calibrated dynamic transducers. This design is intended to reduce unwanted mechanical vibration and handling noise while maintaining consistent directional behavior. Its 50 Hz–20 kHz response supports detailed vocal capture with useful midrange and high-frequency definition.

SLX-D+ adds wide-tuning RF operation and automatic setup functions for managing changing RF conditions with a compatible receiver. ShowLink Ease allows linked receiver systems to remotely adjust supported transmitter settings, including frequency, gain, control locks, and firmware updates. Wireless Workbench desktop software and the WWB Mobile app provide additional monitoring and configuration options when used with supported SLX-D+ receiver hardware.

The transmitter is built with an aluminum housing, an integrated helical antenna, and a backlit LCD for status viewing. It runs for up to eight hours on the included pair of AA batteries, with optional Shure SB903 rechargeable lithium-ion batteries supported for rechargeable operation. Design & Installation

The SLXD2+/N8C combines an aluminum handheld transmitter body with a black Nexadyne 8/C wireless capsule. The capsule uses an aluminum-and-steel grille assembly, while the transmitter uses an integrated single-band helical antenna. Its compact 37.1 mm diameter body is designed for familiar handheld microphone use.

No permanent installation or audio wiring is required for the transmitter itself. Pair it with a compatible Shure SLX-D+ receiver in the matching G57 frequency band, then use the receiver's scan and sync workflow to coordinate the system. For best cardioid rejection, aim the rear of the microphone toward monitor loudspeakers and keep the capsule positioned close to the talker or vocalist.
