The Shure SLXD1+=-G57 is a digital wireless bodypack transmitter for hands-free microphone and instrument applications within a compatible Shure SLX-D+ wireless system. It provides a compact, belt-worn alternative to handheld wireless microphones for presenters, performers, educators, worship teams, and production crews. The G57 version operates across the 470–608 MHz frequency band.

Designed for clear voice and instrument transmission, the SLXD1+ uses 24-bit digital audio with a stated dynamic range greater than 118 dB. Its bodypack format supports lavalier microphones, headworn microphones, and instrument cables using the locking 4-pin TA4M input. A 160 Hz high-pass filter is available to help reduce unwanted low-frequency handling noise and rumble when needed.

The SLXD1+ is part of Shure's SLX-D+ platform, which combines wideband RF operation with simple linking and frequency coordination through a compatible receiver. The G57 band provides 138 MHz of tuning range, while selectable 1 mW and 10 mW RF output settings allow the transmitter to suit local operating conditions. Shure specifies support for up to 11 simultaneous systems in 6 MHz TV bands or up to 14 systems in 8 MHz TV bands.

When linked with an SLX-D+ receiver, ShowLink Ease allows selected transmitter settings to be managed remotely over the air. A linked receiver can change transmitter frequency and RF power, lock controls, and deliver firmware updates without requiring a new sync for those functions. AES-256 encryption is included for secure digital transmission when used with compatible system components.

The SLXD1+ is a practical expansion or replacement transmitter for an existing SLX-D+ setup. It can also work with legacy narrowband SLX-D receivers when both units are set to a compatible matching frequency band. For a complete wireless channel, pair it with a compatible receiver plus a TA4F-equipped lavalier, headset, earset, or instrument cable.

Design & Installation

The SLXD1+ uses an ergonomic PC/ABS housing that keeps the bodypack lightweight at 89 g without batteries. Its 98 x 68 x 25.5 mm enclosure is sized for belt, waistband, costume, or instrument-strap placement. A quarter-wave antenna, integrated display, power switch, IR port, and menu controls support everyday system operation.

Connect a compatible TA4F microphone or instrument cable to the locking TA4M input, install two 1.5 V AA batteries or a Shure SB903 rechargeable battery, and link the transmitter to a compatible receiver using IR sync. Match the receiver to the G57 frequency band before use, then use receiver-based scanning and coordination to select an open operating frequency.
