Shure MV-TWO-Z7 MoveMic Two Wireless Lavalier Mics

The Shure MoveMic Two is a two-channel wireless lavalier microphone system designed for recording two people directly to a compatible mobile device. It gives mobile creators a compact alternative to wired clip-on microphones and bulky wireless systems. The MV-TWO-Z7 includes two discreet MoveMic transmitters and a charging case for portable recording sessions.

It is well suited to interviews, podcasts, mobile video, livestreams, and journalistic work where two speakers need separate microphone channels. Each microphone clips onto clothing for hands-free placement close to the voice. Direct-to-phone operation is intended for use with the Shure MOTIV Audio and MOTIV Video apps on compatible iOS and Android devices.

MoveMic Two is tuned for vocal capture, with a 50 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, 24-bit audio, and a 48 kHz sampling rate. Its 100 dB A-weighted dynamic range and 130 dB SPL maximum sound pressure level support speech recording in a broad range of everyday production environments. Adjustable gain from 0 to 60 dB lets users tailor recording level through the compatible app workflow.

The system combines Bluetooth Low Energy with Shure proprietary wireless technology in the 2.4 GHz band. Shure rates line-of-sight operating range at up to 100 feet (30 meters). Once paired through the MOTIV app, the microphones can reconnect for quick mobile recording setup.

Each MoveMic provides up to eight hours of direct-to-phone battery runtime, while the charging case provides two additional charges for up to 24 hours of total recording time. The microphones have an IPX4 water-resistance rating for protection against splashes. For camera, computer, or broader third-party mobile app compatibility, the optional MoveMic Receiver can be added separately.

Design & Installation

Each microphone uses a black PC/ABS thermoplastic housing and an integrated clip-style lavalier format for low-profile placement on clothing. At 1.81 inches tall and 0.29 ounce without its windscreen, each transmitter is made to remain compact during on-camera use. For direct-to-phone use, install the Shure MOTIV Audio or MOTIV Video app on a compatible device, pair the microphones, and position one mic on each speaker.
