The Shure GLXD1+=-Z3 is a digital wireless bodypack transmitter made for GLX-D+ Dual Band wireless systems. It provides a wearable transmitting solution for compatible lavalier microphones, headset microphones, and instrument cables using a 4-pin TA4F connection. This component-only transmitter requires a compatible GLX-D+ receiver, sold separately.
It is a practical choice for performers, presenters, worship teams, educators, and musicians who need a compact wireless transmitter that can be worn on a belt or guitar strap. The reversible belt clip supports flexible placement while keeping the bodypack close to the user. A connected microphone or instrument cable is required for operation.
The GLXD1+ is part of Shure's digital GLX-D+ platform, specified for a 20 Hz to 20 kHz audio frequency response, 120 dB A-weighted dynamic range, and 0.02% typical total harmonic distortion. Its unbalanced TA4M input accepts a maximum level of +8.4 dBV. Transmitter gain is adjustable through a compatible receiver over a -20 to +40 dB range in 1 dB steps.
For wireless operation, the Z3 version works across the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz bands, with a specified tuning range of 2400 to 2483.5 MHz and 5725 to 5850 MHz. It uses Shure proprietary digital transmission and a dual-band internal monopole antenna. RF output is specified at 10 mW E.I.R.P. maximum.
The included SB904 rechargeable lithium-ion battery powers the transmitter and can be charged through the bodypack's USB-C port or in a compatible GLX-D+ receiver charging bay. A 15-minute charge can provide up to 1.5 hours of runtime, while the detailed specification lists up to 11.5 hours of battery life. The GLXD1+ is designed for GLX-D+ Dual Band systems and is not compatible with earlier GLX-D or GLX-D Advanced wireless systems.

Design & Installation
The GLXD1+ uses an aluminum-alloy and ABS plastic housing with a compact bodypack profile. Its specified dimensions are 4.5 x 2.6 x 1.1 inches, and it weighs 5.4 ounces without the battery. The integrated dual-band antenna, power switch, status LED, link button, battery compartment, USB-C charging port, and TA4M input are built into the transmitter.
Install the included SB904 battery, then connect a compatible TA4F instrument cable, lavalier microphone, or headset microphone to the TA4M input. Link the transmitter to a compatible GLX-D+ receiver before use, and use the belt clip to secure it to a belt or pass a guitar strap through the clip. The transmitter does not pass RF or audio while connected to its charging cable.
