Shure specifies a line-of-sight operating range of up to 300 feet, with actual range depending on RF absorption, reflections, and interference in the environment. The BLX2 transmitter runs on two AA alkaline batteries for up to 14 hours under typical conditions. A -10 dB gain attenuation option helps accommodate louder vocal sources when needed.
