Shure BLX188/CVL-H11 Dual Lavalier Wireless System
$689.00
Mogami GOLD STAGE-50 50 Ft XLR Microphone Cable
$194.95
The Shure BLX188/CVL-H11 is a two-person wireless lavalier microphone system for hands-free speech reinforcement. It combines a BLX88 dual-channel receiver, two BLX1 bodypack transmitters, and two CVL cardioid lavalier microphones. The H11 version operates in the 572–596 MHz frequency band, so local spectrum authorization should be confirmed before use.
This system suits presenters, educators, worship leaders, corporate speakers, and event hosts who need two independent wireless microphone channels. Each presenter wears a compact bodypack and clip-on microphone, helping keep hands free for demonstrations, teaching, or audience engagement. Separate receiver outputs allow each microphone channel to be routed individually to a mixer or sound system.
The included CVL lavalier microphones use a cardioid pickup pattern designed to focus on the presenter while reducing sound arriving from the sides and rear. Their electret condenser elements are tailored for vocal and presentation use. Supplied windscreens help reduce breath noise and plosive sounds when the microphones are positioned near the speaker.
Shure BLX wireless operation uses QuickScan frequency selection to help identify an available channel for setup. The BLX88 receiver uses internal antenna diversity and provides individual group and channel displays for both channels. The system is rated for up to 300 feet of line-of-sight operating range, although actual range depends on RF conditions and obstacles.
For longer programs and events, each BLX1 transmitter runs on two AA batteries for up to 14 hours with alkaline cells. The receiver connects to a mixer, powered speaker, or PA system through balanced XLR or unbalanced 1/4-inch outputs. It is a practical foundation for two-person speech systems where portable setup and discreet microphone placement are priorities.
Key Features
- Dual-Presenter Configuration: Includes two bodypacks and two lavalier microphones for independent speakers.
- H11 Frequency Band: Operates from 572 to 596 MHz; confirm local authorization.
- QuickScan Setup: Helps locate an available frequency group and channel.
- Cardioid Lavalier Microphones: Focused pickup supports clear hands-free speech reproduction.
- Dual Receiver Outputs: Provides separate XLR and 1/4-inch outputs for each channel.
- AA Battery Operation: Each bodypack delivers up to 14 hours with alkaline batteries.
Design & Installation
The BLX88 receiver and BLX1 transmitters use molded ABS housings intended for portable wireless-system use. The receiver has internal antennas, LED status indicators, and separate controls for its two wireless channels. Each CVL microphone has a compact black lavalier format, a 1.3 m cable, and a TA4F connector for the bodypack.
Place the receiver where it has clear line of sight to the presenters when possible, then connect its individual XLR or 1/4-inch outputs to available mixer or PA inputs. Run a group scan, set each bodypack to match its receiver channel, and adjust transmitter gain while monitoring the receiver audio LEDs. Clip each CVL microphone about 6–10 inches from the talker's mouth and use the supplied windscreen and tie clip for stable placement.

Can this system be used by two people at once?
Yes. The BLX88 receiver supports two wireless audio channels, and this package includes two BLX1 bodypack transmitters and two CVL lavalier microphones.
What frequency range does the H11 version use?
BLX188/CVL-H11 operates from 572 to 596 MHz. Wireless microphone frequency use can be regulated, so confirm that this band is authorized at the intended location.
What do I need to connect it to a sound system?
Connect the BLX88 receiver to a mixer, powered speaker, amplifier, or PA system using its XLR balanced or 1/4-inch unbalanced outputs. The receiver power supply is included.
Are batteries included, and how long do they last?
Four AA batteries are included for the two bodypack transmitters. Each BLX1 bodypack is rated for up to 14 hours with two alkaline AA batteries.
Can both microphones be mixed into one receiver output?
The BLX88 provides separate outputs for its two channels rather than a combined mixed output. A mixer can be used to combine and control both microphone channels.
Can I use other microphones with the BLX1 bodypacks?
The BLX1 has a 4-pin TA4 microphone input and is designed for compatible Shure wireless microphone accessories. Any replacement transmitter must also match the H11 frequency band for use with this receiver.
