The sE Electronics V7 MC2 is a dynamic replacement microphone capsule designed to bring the sound character of the V7 vocal microphone to compatible Sennheiser handheld wireless transmitters. It is intended for singers, speakers, worship teams, touring performers, and live-sound users who want to upgrade an existing wireless handheld system. The capsule itself is not a complete wireless microphone and requires a compatible transmitter for operation.

Its supercardioid pickup pattern focuses on the source in front of the microphone while helping reduce pickup from surrounding instruments and stage monitors. This makes the V7 MC2 well suited to live vocal and speech applications where isolation and feedback control are important. The dynamic DMC7 capsule uses an aluminum voice coil and neodymium magnet for a clear, open vocal presentation.

The V7 MC2 has a 40 Hz to 19 kHz frequency range, 2.0 mV/Pa sensitivity, and 300-ohm electrical impedance. Its response is designed for natural voice capture with detailed high frequencies and controlled off-axis pickup. The integrated shockmount helps reduce mechanical vibration and handling noise during active performances.

Built for regular stage use, the capsule combines a durable zinc-alloy chassis with an all-metal beveled spring-steel grille. The grille's beveled edge helps keep the microphone from rolling when placed on a flat surface. Gold-plated contacts provide the connection between the capsule and compatible wireless transmitter.

No XLR cable, external microphone preamp, or phantom power is required for the capsule itself; the wireless transmitter and its matching receiver system provide the operating platform.
