sE Electronics V7 MC1 Nickel Wireless Microphone Capsule

The sE Electronics V7 MC1 Nickel is a replacement dynamic microphone capsule made to bring the V7 vocal microphone sound to compatible Shure wireless handheld transmitters. It is intended for singers, speakers, worship teams, presenters, and live-production users who want to change the capsule on an existing wireless handheld system. This version includes an MP03 protective pouch and a thread cover for storage and transport.

Its supercardioid pickup pattern is designed to focus on the performer while reducing pickup from surrounding stage sound. The capsule uses an aluminum voice coil and neodymium magnet, with a 40 Hz to 19 kHz frequency range. Its sound character is intended to provide detailed highs and clear vocal reproduction for live vocal and speech applications.

The V7 MC1 uses a dynamic DMC7 capsule design and does not function as a complete wireless microphone by itself. It installs on a compatible Shure handheld transmitter with an interchangeable capsule connection. This makes it a practical upgrade path for users who already own an eligible Shure wireless system.

An integrated capsule suspension helps reduce handling noise and mechanical vibration transferred through the handheld transmitter. The internal windscreen helps reduce wind noise and plosive sounds during close vocal use. Gold-plated contacts support a reliable connection between the capsule and transmitter.

The nickel-finish capsule is built for regular stage use with an all-metal housing and a beveled spring-steel grille. The beveled grille shape helps reduce rolling when the handheld is placed on a flat surface. Use it as the vocal front end of a compatible wireless handheld system, paired with the transmitter, receiver, and audio system already in your setup.

Design & Installation

The V7 MC1 Nickel uses a zinc-alloy housing, gold-plated contacts, and a spring-steel grille with a beveled anti-roll profile. Its internal windscreen is replaceable, and black and red internal windscreens are included. The capsule measures 54 mm in diameter by 92 mm long and weighs 150 g.

Installation requires a compatible Shure handheld wireless transmitter with an interchangeable capsule connection; the capsule does not include a transmitter or receiver. Remove the existing compatible capsule, attach the V7 MC1 securely to the transmitter, and use the supplied thread cover and MP03 pouch when the capsule is not in service. It is not compatible with Shure BLX or GLX-D series transmitters.
