The sE Electronics V PACK CLUB STANDARD is a six-microphone drum recording and reinforcement kit for covering the essential parts of a compact drum setup. It combines dedicated kick, tom, snare, and overhead microphones in one coordinated package. The included flight case helps keep the microphones, clamps, and accessories organized between sessions, rehearsals, and shows.

This package is suited to drummers, engineers, and venues that need focused drum coverage without building a microphone collection piece by piece. A V KICK handles bass drum duties, while two low-profile V BEAT microphones are supplied for toms. The V7 X provides an additional dynamic option for snare or other instruments, and the matched sE7 pair is intended for stereo overhead capture.

The dynamic microphones use supercardioid pickup patterns to help focus on their intended source and reduce pickup from adjacent drums and cymbals. The V KICK offers two recessed voicing switches, allowing separate selection of overall and high-frequency character. Its integrated swivel joint also supports placement inside or outside a kick drum.

For overheads, the factory-matched sE7 condenser pair supplies cardioid pickup, a switchable -20 dB pad, and a switchable 80 Hz low-cut filter. Their transformerless, discrete Class-A design is intended to capture cymbals and the overall kit with detail while accommodating high sound-pressure levels. The sE7 microphones require 48V phantom power from a compatible mixer, preamp, or audio interface.

The V PACK CLUB STANDARD can serve as a complete starting point for live drum reinforcement or multichannel recording. The V CLAMP mounts attach the V BEAT microphones directly to compatible snare or tom rims, reducing the need for additional stands at those positions. Its flight case also leaves room for expanding the setup with an additional compatible microphone when more drum coverage is needed.

Design & Installation

The kit combines dynamic microphones for close drum miking with compact small-diaphragm condensers for overhead placement. V KICK, V BEAT, and V7 X microphones use neodymium magnets and aluminum voice coils, while the V7 X and sE7 feature metal housings and gold-plated XLR connections. All primary components are stored in the included hard flight case for transport and protection.

Connect each microphone to a mixer, preamp, stage box, or audio interface using balanced XLR cables. Use the two V CLAMP mounts to secure the V BEAT microphones to compatible tom or snare rims, then aim their swivel mounts toward the desired part of each drumhead. Place the sE7 pair on suitable overhead stands and supply 48V phantom power only to the condenser channels; the V KICK and V7 X can be positioned on conventional microphone stands or mounts as needed.
