RØDE WIMICROCRED Wireless Micro USB-C Microphone System

The RØDE Wireless Micro is a compact two-person wireless microphone system made for recording clearer voice audio with USB-C smartphones. This red WIMICROCRED version includes two clip-on transmitters with built-in microphones and a USB-C receiver that plugs directly into a compatible phone. It provides a simple cable-free alternative to recording speech with a phone’s built-in microphones.

Designed for vloggers, interviewers, mobile creators, and everyday video recording, the system is ready to use quickly through automatic transmitter-to-receiver pairing. The two transmitters let two people be miked at once for conversations, presentations, or collaborative content. Integrated clips and included magnetic attachments provide flexible clothing placement.

Each transmitter uses an omnidirectional microphone with a 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency range and a maximum SPL rating of 135 dB. RØDE's GainAssist technology automatically manages recording levels to help maintain balanced dialogue as sound levels change. The transmitters also use a patent-pending acoustic chamber designed to reduce the effects of wind noise and plosives.

The USB-C receiver sends digital audio directly to a compatible mobile device without a separate cable or battery-powered receiver body. It supports 24-bit, 48 kHz audio and can also operate as a class-compliant USB audio interface with computers. The system can record two transmitters in merged or split modes when configured through compatible RØDE software.

A pocket-sized charging case stores and recharges the transmitters for mobile use. Each transmitter operates for up to seven hours, while the case supplies two additional charges for up to 21 hours of total operating time. For expanded production setups, the Wireless Micro can be used with the separately available Wireless Micro Camera Receiver or Wireless Micro Camera Kit.

Design & Installation

The Wireless Micro uses an ultra-compact, lightweight design with red transmitters, receiver, and charging case. Each transmitter has an integrated clothing clip and can also be paired with its included magnetic attachment for placement through clothing. The transmitters have a splashproof design and include built-in wind protection, with furry windshields supplied for stronger wind conditions.

To set up, remove the transmitters from the charging case and connect the USB-C receiver directly to a compatible phone or computer. The transmitters and receiver pair automatically, then audio can be recorded with apps that accept USB audio. Position each transmitter near the speaker's mouth without covering its microphone area, and use the supplied windshields when recording outdoors.
