RØDE WIGOGEN3RED Wireless GO (Gen 3) Microphone System

The RØDE Wireless GO (Gen 3) is a compact two-person wireless microphone system designed for creators who need dependable audio for video, mobile, and computer recording. It includes two clip-on transmitters and one receiver, making it well suited to interviews, presentations, vlogs, and other dual-subject productions. The red WIGOGEN3RED version provides the same system functionality in a distinctive color finish.

Each transmitter has a built-in omnidirectional microphone and a locking 3.5mm TRS input for a compatible external lavalier microphone. The microphone system covers a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range and handles sound levels up to 123.5 dBSPL. Its compact transmitters can be clipped directly to clothing for a streamlined setup.

RØDE Series IV 2.4 GHz digital transmission provides a wireless range of up to 260 meters in line-of-sight conditions. The system uses 128-bit encryption and a proprietary near-zero-latency codec for secure, responsive audio transmission. A dual-channel receiver lets two transmitters be used in the same recording setup.

Both transmitters support 32-bit float on-board recording, providing an independent backup when audio needs to be recovered in post-production. Each transmitter can store over 40 hours of 32-bit float audio. GainAssist, adjustable output gain, camera presets, and a safety-channel option provide additional tools for managing levels when recording to a camera.

The receiver connects to cameras through its 3.5mm output and to compatible phones or computers through USB-C. Its LCD screen, onboard controls, and headphone monitoring support practical adjustments while recording. The Wireless GO (Gen 3) can also integrate with other compatible RØDE Series IV wireless products, helping it fit into an expandable creator audio setup.

Design & Installation

The Wireless GO (Gen 3) uses compact clip-on transmitter and receiver housings, with integrated rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and USB-C charging. Each transmitter measures 46.5 x 44 x 20 mm and weighs 35 g, while the receiver shares the same dimensions and weighs 36 g. The receiver includes an LCD display, and each transmitter includes status LEDs and a dedicated record button.

For camera use, connect the receiver's 3.5mm TRRS port to a camera audio input with the included SC2 TRS-to-TRS cable. For compatible phones and computers, connect through USB-C using the included USB-C cable or included USB-C-to-Lightning cable where applicable. Clip each transmitter near the speaker's mouth, use the included furry windshields outdoors or in moving air, and configure recording, routing, and level settings through the receiver or RØDE Central.
