RØDE WIGOGEN3GRE Wireless GO (Gen 3) Wireless Microphone

The RØDE Wireless GO (Gen 3) is a dual-channel compact wireless microphone system for recording two people or two audio sources at once. This green WIGOGEN3GRE kit includes two transmitters and one receiver, making it well suited to interviews, video production, presentations, streaming and mobile content. It provides a practical way to move beyond a camera or phone's built-in microphone while keeping the setup compact and wearable.

Each transmitter has an integrated omnidirectional microphone and a locking 3.5mm TRS input for an optional lavalier microphone. The integrated mic covers a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range and handles sound-pressure levels up to 123.5 dBSPL. Its omnidirectional pickup pattern is useful when consistent voice capture matters more than highly directional isolation.

RØDE Series IV 2.4 GHz digital transmission carries audio from the transmitters to the receiver with 128-bit encryption and a stated line-of-sight range of up to 260 m. The system is designed for flexible connection to cameras, smartphones and computers through analog and USB-C digital connections. A 3.5mm TRRS connection on the receiver also supports headphone monitoring with adjustable level control.

For backup recording, each transmitter records 32-bit float audio internally. With 32 GB of storage in each transmitter, the system provides over 40 hours of onboard recording capacity. This recording format allows overly quiet or clipped recordings to be adjusted during post-production when appropriate workflow tools are used.

GainAssist offers automatic level management for transmitted audio, while adjustable output gain and a safety-channel option help when feeding audio directly to a camera. The receiver's LCD display and onboard controls provide access to operating information and settings in the field. RØDE Central software supports deeper configuration, recording export and firmware updates, making the system easy to incorporate into a growing RØDE Series IV wireless setup.

Design & Installation

The Wireless GO (Gen 3) uses a compact clip-on transmitter and receiver format intended for portable production. Each transmitter includes an integrated microphone, a locking 3.5mm TRS input, USB-C connectivity, status LEDs and a dedicated record button. The receiver adds an LCD display, navigation controls, a routing-mode selector and a 3.5mm TRRS connection for output, monitoring or compatible headset-mic input.

Clip a transmitter to clothing or use its locking input with a compatible lavalier mic, then mount the receiver on a camera or position it near the recording device. Connect the receiver to a camera with the included 3.5mm TRS cable, or use USB-C for compatible phones and computers; a Lightning cable is also included for compatible Lightning-equipped devices. Charge all three units individually by USB-C or together with the included SC33 charging hub, and use the supplied furry windshields when recording outdoors.
