RØDE WIGOGEN3BLK Wireless GO III Microphone System

The RØDE Wireless GO III is a compact dual-channel wireless microphone system for recording two people or capturing a single source with a backup-ready workflow. It combines two clip-on transmitters and one receiver for camera, mobile, and computer-based production. This black WIGOGEN3BLK kit is suited to interviews, vlogs, presentations, livestreams, and location recording where clear voice capture is needed without a large audio rig.

Each transmitter includes an omnidirectional built-in microphone, allowing it to be clipped directly to clothing for quick setup. A locking 3.5mm TRS input also supports an external lavalier microphone when a more concealed microphone placement is preferred. The receiver provides a 3.5mm TRRS output for analog connections and USB-C for digital audio connectivity.

The system uses RØDE Series IV 2.4GHz digital transmission with 128-bit encryption and a stated line-of-sight range of up to 260m. Its transmission design is intended to provide stable wireless audio for mobile productions. The dual-channel receiver can manage two transmitters in one compact system.

Both transmitters support 32-bit float on-board recording, creating an independent recording directly in each transmitter. Each transmitter has 32GB of internal memory and can store over 40 hours of 32-bit float audio. This provides a practical recovery option when a recorded signal is unexpectedly too loud or too quiet.

GainAssist processing helps manage microphone levels during recording, while adjustable output gain and selectable routing modes support different camera and monitoring setups. The receiver also supports headphone monitoring through its 3.5mm connection. RØDE Central software provides access to device configuration, recording export, and firmware updates as a system grows with additional compatible RØDE Series IV wireless products.

Design & Installation

The Wireless GO III uses compact transmitter and receiver modules with integrated clips for wearable placement and camera mounting. Each transmitter measures 46.5mm wide by 44mm long by 20mm high and weighs 35g, while the receiver has the same dimensions and weighs 36g. The receiver includes a bright LCD display, navigation controls, USB-C connection, and a 3.5mm TRRS connector.

For camera use, connect the receiver to a camera with the included 3.5mm TRS patch cable and set the receiver output to suit the camera input. For phones, tablets, or computers, use the included USB-C or Lightning cable as appropriate; compatible devices can receive digital audio through USB-C. Clip each transmitter to clothing, attach the included furry windshields outdoors or in moving air, and use RØDE Central when configuration, file export, or firmware updates are needed.
