RØDE WIGOGEN3 Wireless GO (Gen 3) Microphone System

The RØDE Wireless GO (Gen 3) is a compact dual-channel wireless microphone system designed for creators who need clear, flexible audio without a large production setup. It includes two transmitters and one receiver, making it well suited to interviews, presentations, vlogs, mobile video and two-person recordings. Its compact format helps keep microphones close to the speaker while keeping cables and accessories to a minimum.

This system is made for use with cameras, smartphones, tablets and computers through its analog and digital connections. The receiver can connect to a camera through its 3.5mm output or to compatible mobile devices and computers through USB-C. Each transmitter can use its built-in microphone or accept an external locking 3.5mm TRS lavalier microphone.

RØDE Series IV 2.4 GHz digital transmission carries audio from the transmitters to the receiver with 128-bit encryption. The system offers a stated line-of-sight range of up to 260 meters, giving creators useful flexibility for moving subjects and wider camera positions. Its omnidirectional built-in microphones are designed to capture speech naturally from a clipped-on position.

Each transmitter includes 32 GB of internal memory for 32-bit float onboard recording. This creates an independent recording option that can be used as a primary track or as a backup to the receiver output. The format provides wide recording headroom for post-production recovery of recordings that were captured too loudly or quietly.

GainAssist, adjustable output gain and routing options help adapt the Wireless GO to different recording workflows. Merged mode can combine sources for a simple stereo output, while Split mode keeps the two transmitters on separate channels for editing. The included charging hub, cables, windshields and carry pouch make this a complete starting point for portable wireless recording.

Design & Installation

The Wireless GO (Gen 3) uses compact clip-on transmitter and receiver units with integrated rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Each transmitter has a built-in omnidirectional microphone, a locking 3.5mm TRS input, USB-C connectivity and dedicated status indicators. The receiver adds a bright LCD display, navigation controls, a routing-mode selector, USB-C connectivity and a 3.5mm TRRS output for monitoring or analog device connection.

For a camera setup, clip a transmitter to the speaker, connect the receiver to the camera with the included 3.5mm TRS cable, and set the camera input level appropriately. For compatible phones, tablets and computers, connect the receiver by USB-C using the included USB-C or Lightning cable as appropriate. Use the included furry windshields outdoors, enable onboard recording when a backup track is desired, and configure advanced settings through RØDE Central.
