The RØDE Interview Micro is a handheld adaptor made specifically for a RØDE Wireless Micro transmitter. It gives the compact transmitter the familiar form and handling of a handheld interview microphone. This blue INTERVIEWMICROBLU version is suited to street interviews, presentations, casual podcasting, and smartphone-based content creation.

For creators who prefer to pass a microphone between speakers rather than clip a transmitter to clothing, the Interview Micro provides a practical conversion. The ergonomic handle creates a comfortable, balanced grip for extended handheld use. Its compact, ultra-lightweight format also makes it easy to keep in a mobile recording kit.

The adaptor includes a removable foam windshield that fits over the installed transmitter. The windshield is designed to help reduce plosive sounds and wind noise during spoken-word recording. Audio capture remains dependent on the separately available Wireless Micro transmitter and system.

Design & Installation

The Interview Micro uses a lightweight, ergonomic handle design measuring 266 mm long and 54 mm wide and high. At 80 g, it is sized for comfortable handheld use while remaining compact enough for portable creator kits. A foam windshield is included and can be removed when needed.

To use it, place a compatible RØDE Wireless Micro transmitter into the handle's transmitter mount, then fit the foam windshield over the transmitter. The adaptor is intended for handheld interviews, vox pops, field presentations, and similar spoken-word work. A Wireless Micro transmitter is required and is not included with this adaptor.
