Memphis MXHD14LIDKIT 6×9" Harley Bag Lid Speaker Kit

The Memphis MXHD14LIDKIT is a direct-fit saddlebag lid audio upgrade for select 2014-and-newer Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles with compatible hard-shell bags. It adds a pair of integrated 6×9-inch speakers to the bag lids, providing an organized way to expand a motorcycle audio system without using separate speaker enclosures. The kit is intended for riders who want added rear speaker coverage while retaining a factory-style bag-lid appearance.

Each kit uses two 6×9-inch speakers rated at 125 watts RMS with a 4-ohm impedance. Their 55 Hz–22 kHz frequency response and 93 dB sensitivity are designed to support audible midbass and upper-frequency detail in an open-air motorcycle environment. A dual-tweeter bridge design further supports high-frequency output where engine and road noise can compete with the music.

The speakers use translucent cones with integrated RGB LED backlighting for added visual customization. The illumination assembly is sealed, and the complete speaker assembly carries an IPX6 rating for water exposure resistance. Rear protective covers help shield the back of each installed speaker inside the saddlebag lid.

Memphis includes the hardware needed to complete the lid conversion, including two plastic lid adapters and two cutting templates. Painted stamped-steel grilles with ASA plastic frames provide a finished exterior appearance while the ASA material is intended to provide UV protection. Quick electrical disconnects allow the bags to be removed more conveniently after installation.

The MXHD14LIDKIT is made to expand compatible Memphis Harley audio systems, specifically the MXAHDPRO2 and MXAHDPRO4 packages. It is intended for compatible ABS plastic saddlebag lids and is not compatible with fiberglass lids. Design & Installation

The kit combines painted stamped-steel grilles with ASA plastic grille frames for UV protection. Its sealed speaker assembly, integrated RGB illumination, and rear protective speaker covers are intended for exposed motorcycle saddlebag-lid use. The included plastic adapters create the installation interface between the speakers and compatible bag lids.

Installation requires cutting compatible ABS plastic hard-shell bag lids using the supplied templates, then mounting the adapters, speakers, grilles, and included hardware. The kit includes quick electrical disconnects to support bag removal, but it should be paired with a compatible Memphis MXAHDPRO2 or MXAHDPRO4 system.
