Rockford Fosgate TMS6SG 6.5" Harley Fairing Speakers

The Rockford Fosgate TMS6SG is a pair of 6.5-inch, 2-way coaxial speakers engineered as a fairing-location upgrade for select Harley-Davidson motorcycles. It replaces the factory upper-fairing speakers while retaining a vehicle-specific installation approach. This makes it a focused solution for riders who want improved audio clarity without converting the fairing for universal speakers.

Designed for select Street Glide and Electra Glide applications, the TMS6SG uses factory mounting locations, hardware, and speaker connections where applicable. New grille assemblies are included to complete the installation. Fitment should still be confirmed by motorcycle year, model, and trim before purchase.

Each speaker is rated for 75 watts RMS and 150 watts maximum at 4 ohms. A 25 mm film-dome neodymium tweeter with an integrated phase plug handles high frequencies, while the 6.5-inch coaxial layout keeps the system compact. Its 91 dB sensitivity supports useful output from a properly matched motorcycle audio system.

The woofer combines a carbon-fiber-reinforced polypropylene cone with a Santoprene VAST surround. A neodymium ring-magnet motor, 35.6 mm voice coil, and integrated tweeter crossover are used to support controlled full-range reproduction. The low-profile tweeter design is tailored for fairing applications with limited mounting space.

Element Ready construction addresses the weather exposure common to motorcycle use. The design includes a Santoprene front isolation spider between the tweeter housing and cone assembly, plus corrosion-, dust-, UV-, temperature-, water-, and vibration-resistant engineering. The TMS6SG can be used as a direct replacement or paired with a properly matched amplifier for a more substantial motorcycle audio upgrade.

Design & Installation

The TMS6SG uses a carbon-fiber-reinforced polypropylene cone, Santoprene VAST surround, poly-cotton spider, and high-temperature glass-reinforced polymer frame. Its neodymium ring-magnet motor and 35.6 mm voice coil are paired with a low-profile coaxial tweeter and integrated crossover. The weather-resistant layout includes a Santoprene front isolation spider to help protect the speaker assembly in motorcycle use.

For compatible fairings, installation uses the factory speaker locations and connectors, with new grilles and mounting hardware supplied. The manual specifies a 5.0-inch mounting diameter and 2.1-inch mounting depth; disconnect the battery negative terminal before installation. CVO and Screamin' Eagle models are not plug-and-play and require modification, so professional installation may be appropriate for those applications.
