The Rockford Fosgate M0-65B is a pair of 6.5-inch, 2-way full-range marine speakers designed for open-air audio systems. They are intended for boats, off-road vehicles, and other installations exposed to outdoor conditions. Their black finish provides a coordinated appearance for dark speaker locations and marine interiors.

These speakers combine a 6.5-inch midrange driver with a grille-integrated 0.5-inch LCP balanced-dome tweeter. The coaxial layout keeps bass, midrange, and high-frequency reproduction in one mounting location. This makes the M0-65B a practical replacement or upgrade where a conventional 6.5-inch speaker opening is available.

With a 4-ohm nominal impedance and 65-watt RMS power handling, the M0-65B is suited to compatible marine receivers and external amplifiers. Its 40 Hz to 25 kHz frequency-response specification covers the primary range needed for full-range playback. A built-in 6 dB-per-octave high-pass crossover directs the high frequencies to the tweeter.

The M0-65B uses an injection-molded, mineral-filled polypropylene cone with a co-molded Santoprene surround. Rockford Fosgate's VAST surround design increases effective radiating cone area, while the sealed motor and concealed crossover help support use in marine and motorsports environments. UV-stable ASA plastic is used for the frame and grille.

These speakers fit naturally into a system using a marine source unit or a properly matched amplifier. They can be used as replacements for weather-exposed factory speakers or as part of a larger marine audio upgrade with additional full-range speakers and a subwoofer. The included stainless-steel mounting hardware supports installation in suitable panels.

Design & Installation

The M0-65B uses a mineral-filled polypropylene cone, UV- and salt-fog-resistant Santoprene surround, linear synthetic-fiber-blend spider, and a 1-inch high-temperature Kapton woofer voice-coil former. Its frame and grille are made from UV-stable ASA plastic, and the marine-grade brass terminals are zinc-nickel plated. The grille and trim ring are mounted on the speakers.

Confirm the 5.38-inch cutout, 2.52-inch mounting depth, and 6.12-inch screw mounting diameter before installation. Route and connect speaker wire before fastening the speakers, observe the marked positive terminal, and avoid overtightening the screws. The package includes a pair of speakers, stainless-steel socket-head screws, Allen/hex drill-bit adaptors, and a drill bit.
