Mackie THUMP210XT 10" Powered Loudspeaker

The Mackie THUMP210XT is a compact 10-inch powered PA loudspeaker built for portable sound reinforcement, DJ setups, live performance, announcements, and small venues. Its integrated amplification removes the need for an external power amplifier, helping keep a system simple to transport and deploy. With mic, line, auxiliary, and Bluetooth connectivity, it can accommodate a range of common audio sources.

A 10-inch high-performance woofer and 1-inch polymer compression driver handle the low- and high-frequency ranges in a two-way active system. Mackie rates the system at 1400 watts peak, with a maximum peak SPL of 127 dB and a frequency range of 52 Hz to 23 kHz at -10 dB. This makes it a practical full-range option where a smaller enclosure is preferred over a larger 12- or 15-inch speaker.

The THUMP210XT includes four application-specific voicing modes: Music, Live, Club, and Monitor. Indoor and Outdoor modes provide additional system adjustment for different listening environments. A 40-degree monitor angle also lets the enclosure serve as a floor wedge for performers.

Built-in Feedback Eliminator processing is designed to reduce microphone feedback, while Music Ducking automatically lowers Channel 2 when Channel 1 receives signal. These functions can be useful for presenters, karaoke hosts, DJs, and performers who need to make announcements without manually changing a music level. The rear-panel system also includes status LEDs for key operating modes and overload indication.

Bluetooth 5.0 supports audio streaming and user-interface control through the Thump Connect 2 app. A second THUMP210XT can be linked wirelessly for expanded coverage, with stereo linking and zone-use options supported by the system. For larger systems, the balanced XLR thru output can pass the combined input signal to another compatible loudspeaker or downstream device.

Design & Installation

The THUMP210XT uses Mackie's Built-Like-A-Tank cabinet approach in a compact, portable form factor. Mackie does not publish a cabinet-material specification, but the enclosure is designed for portable PA use and includes a standard pole-mount socket, monitor-wedge geometry, and integrated M10 mounting points. At 25.6 pounds, it is sized for easier loading and placement than larger powered loudspeakers.

Connect microphones or line-level sources to the XLR/TRS combo inputs, connect a stereo source to the 1/8-inch input, or stream wirelessly over Bluetooth. Use the balanced XLR thru output to feed another speaker, and use a suitable speaker pole for the built-in bottom socket. For flown installation, use the integrated M10 points only with compatible M10 x 1.5 x 20 mm forged shoulder eyebolts and appropriate professional rigging practices.
