The KENWOOD KDC-BT382U is a single-DIN CD receiver for drivers who want to retain physical-disc playback while adding Bluetooth streaming, hands-free calling, and front-panel device connections. It is suited to factory-radio replacements in vehicles with a standard single-DIN radio opening. AM/FM tuning, CD playback, USB, AUX, and Bluetooth give you several ways to access music on the road.

Its built-in four-channel amplifier delivers up to 22 watts per channel of full-bandwidth power, making it a practical match for common 4- to 8-ohm car speakers. The receiver also provides 50 watts maximum output per channel. For a more tailored listening setup, the 13-band equalizer, Digital Time Alignment, and Drive EQ help adapt sound to the vehicle cabin.

Bluetooth 4.2 supports wireless audio streaming and hands-free phone use, with profiles for calling, phonebook access, audio playback, and basic source control. Dual Phone Connection lets users switch between two connected phones. Music Mix supports connection of up to five Bluetooth devices for shared streaming control.

For compatible smartphones, Amazon Alexa can be accessed through the receiver's dedicated Alexa key and Bluetooth connection. Design & Installation

This receiver uses a conventional single-DIN chassis with a 255-segment, 1.5-line text display, front USB port, front AUX input, and variable-color illumination. Its detachable faceplate is designed for removable front-panel access. The compact chassis measures 182 mm wide, 53 mm high, and 155.5 mm deep.

Installation requires a 12-volt negative-ground vehicle electrical system and appropriate vehicle-specific mounting and wiring parts as needed. The package documentation identifies a faceplate, trim plate, mounting sleeve, wiring harness, and extraction keys for installation. For vehicles with factory steering-wheel audio controls, a compatible external steering-wheel-control adapter is required.
