JVC KD-X560BT Single-DIN Digital Media Receiver

The JVC KD-X560BT is a Single-DIN digital media receiver designed for vehicles, boats, and powersports applications where CD playback is not needed. It combines AM/FM radio, Bluetooth, front USB, and AUX connectivity in a compact chassis with a 3.0-inch color display. The receiver is a practical upgrade for replacing a basic factory radio while adding modern media playback and camera capability.

This receiver suits drivers and riders who need a shallow-mount audio solution for a dash, console, UTV, or marine installation with limited rear clearance. Bluetooth supports hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming from a compatible phone, while the front USB port supports stored media and iPhone/iPod playback. Its built-in four-channel amplifier is rated at 45 watts maximum per channel and 16 watts per channel of full-bandwidth power at 1% THD. A 13-band graphic EQ, adjustable crossover settings, loudness control, and time-alignment delay settings provide useful tuning tools for a basic speaker system. Three 2-volt preouts also allow the receiver to serve as the control center for external amplifiers and a subwoofer.

The KD-X560BT uses a conformal coating on its electronic circuits to help protect against moisture and airborne contaminants, including salt spray. Its 3.0-inch LED-backlit TFT display provides source information and supports rear-view camera monitoring. A dedicated CAMERA key lets the user manually call up the optional camera view when needed.

For system expansion, the receiver includes front, rear, and subwoofer preouts, plus a rear-view camera input and a steering-wheel remote-control input. It can play a broad range of audio, video, and image files from a USB mass-storage device. The short 4-5/8-inch installation depth helps make this receiver easier to fit where a conventional full-depth Single-DIN chassis may be difficult to install.

Design & Installation

The KD-X560BT uses a detachable faceplate, a 3.0-inch active-matrix TFT display, and a short chassis measuring 4-5/8 inches deep with its sleeve. The receiver is not described as waterproof, so its mounting location should still be selected to avoid direct water exposure.

Installation requires a standard Single-DIN opening and a negative-ground 12-volt DC electrical system. The supplied installation hardware includes a wiring harness, mounting sleeve, trim plate, Bluetooth microphone, and extraction tools; vehicle-specific adapters may still be needed. For camera auto-switching, connect the reverse-sensor wire to the vehicle reverse-lamp harness, and use a compatible steering-wheel-control adapter if retaining factory steering-wheel controls.
