JVC KD-T92MBS Single DIN Marine CD Receiver

The JVC KD-T92MBS is a single-DIN CD receiver designed for marine and powersports audio systems that need flexible source options and dependable everyday control. It combines AM/FM radio, CD playback, Bluetooth streaming, front USB, and a front AUX input in one compact chassis. It is well suited to boats, UTVs, motorcycles, convertibles, and other 12-volt installations where a traditional receiver format is preferred.

Its built-in amplifier delivers 22 watts RMS per channel across four channels at less than 1% THD, with a 50-watt maximum rating per channel. The receiver supports 4- to 8-ohm speakers and can also drive a mono subwoofer directly from its speaker-level output configuration. For expanded systems, three pairs of 4-volt RCA preouts provide front, rear, and subwoofer connections for external amplifiers.

Bluetooth 4.2 supports hands-free calling, audio streaming, phonebook access, and voice dialing with compatible phones. Two phones can remain connected for calls, while JVC Streaming DJ allows up to five Bluetooth audio devices to be connected for shared music playback. iPhone automatic Bluetooth pairing is available when a compatible iPhone is connected through USB.

Sound tuning is a central strength of the KD-T92MBS, with a 13-band graphic equalizer, 11 EQ presets, bass boost, loudness control, time alignment, and selectable 2-way or 3-way crossover modes. K2 Technology is available for supported digital music sources to improve the sound of compressed audio. Additional sound-processing tools include Space Enhancement, Sound Response, Sound Lift, and Volume Link EQ.

The receiver uses a conformal-coated main circuit board and marine anti-rust coating to add protection in installations exposed to moisture, condensation, and salt-spray environments. Its two-line VA LCD display is paired with two-zone variable-color button illumination, adjustable brightness, and automatic dimming. The detachable faceplate, wired-remote capability, and JVC Remote app compatibility add useful flexibility for a custom installation or future system upgrade.

The marine-focused construction includes a conformal-coated circuit board and anti-rust coating, while the unit weighs approximately 2.6 pounds including its trim plate and mounting sleeve.

Install the receiver in a compatible 12-volt negative-ground vehicle, marine, or powersports electrical system using appropriate wiring and mounting hardware for the application. Use the front USB port for compatible digital music files or charging, and connect the front AUX input with a stereo mini-plug audio cable. For amplified systems, use the three RCA preout pairs and configure the receiver for the selected 2-way or 3-way crossover arrangement; SiriusXM operation requires a separately purchased compatible vehicle tuner.
