The Fender Tone Master FR-12 is a full-range, flat-response powered speaker cabinet built for digital guitar amp modelers and profilers. It provides an amplified monitoring solution for players who want to hear their amp, cabinet, and effects models through a dedicated guitar-stage enclosure. The active design eliminates the need to pair a separate power amplifier with a passive cabinet.

Its 12-inch Fender Special Design low-frequency driver and 1-inch compression high-frequency driver support a wide-range presentation suited to modeled guitar tones and impulse responses. The two-way configuration is designed to reproduce the character created by a compatible modeling or profiling device rather than adding a traditional guitar-cabinet voicing. With a maximum output level of 130 dB, it is equipped for home practice, rehearsal, and stage monitoring.

An integrated 1,000-watt Class-D power amplifier supplies the cabinet's amplification. The front-panel control set includes volume, treble, middle, bass, and cut controls. Its 3-band active EQ and high-frequency cut control let players adjust the cabinet for a room or stage while retaining the source device's line output signal.

The FR-12 accepts a balanced 1/4-inch or XLR connection through its combination input, making it suitable for many modelers and profiling units with balanced outputs. An XLR line output with ground lift supports routing the signal onward to a PA system, mixer, or another compatible destination. This makes the cabinet useful as a personal monitor within a larger live or recording setup.

The Tone Master FR-12 uses a lightweight plywood enclosure finished in black textured vinyl with a black grille cloth. A molded plastic strap handle with nickel-plated caps supports carrying, while integrated tilt-back legs angle the cabinet toward the player. Its amplifier-inspired styling helps it visually fit alongside traditional Fender backline equipment.

Connect a compatible modeler or profiler to the balanced 1/4-inch/XLR combination input, then connect the included IEC power cable to AC power. Start with the source device at a conservative output level and use the FR-12 volume and EQ controls to set listening level and room balance. Use the XLR line output when a feed is also needed for a mixer or PA, engaging the ground lift only when needed to address ground-noise issues.
