The Fender Rumble Studio 40 is a 40-watt digital bass combo amplifier designed for practice, rehearsal, recording and tone exploration. It combines a compact 1x10-inch combo format with onboard bass amp modeling and effects, reducing the need to assemble a separate collection of pedals for many common sounds. The 120V version is identified by model number 2376000000.

Built for electric bass players who want flexible sound shaping in one cabinet, the Rumble Studio 40 provides more than 15 amp models and more than 40 effects. Its Gain, Bass, Middle, Treble and Master controls offer familiar hands-on adjustment, while the color LCD, encoder and layer buttons provide access to deeper settings. Players can store and organize presets for different instruments, songs and playing situations.

A Fender Special Design 10-inch speaker and compression tweeter handle the combo's amplified bass output. The tweeter includes an on/off switch, allowing the high-frequency response to be tailored to the selected preset and playing style. With 40 watts into its 8-ohm speaker system, this amplifier is a practical self-contained option for personal playing and smaller rehearsal setups.

Fender's digital platform adds Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for preset management, firmware access and audio streaming. The Fender Tone app for iOS and Android supports wireless editing, preset browsing, backup and restore functions. Bluetooth streaming can be used for playing along with music, while the onboard interface keeps core controls directly on the amplifier.

Connection options support practice and recording workflows without changing the basic combo setup. The Rumble Studio 40 includes a stereo auxiliary input, stereo headphone output, USB audio-recording connection, stereo effects loop and two balanced XLR line outputs. An optional MGT-4 footswitch expands control of presets, effects, tuner functions and the 60-second looper.

Design & Installation

The Rumble Studio 40 uses a lightweight plywood cabinet covered in textured vinyl, with a black front panel and black grille cloth. A molded plastic strap handle with black powder-coated caps supports transport, and aged white plastic control knobs maintain a traditional Fender-inspired appearance. The cabinet measures 16.5 inches wide, 16.88 inches high and 12 inches deep.

Place the combo on a stable surface with adequate ventilation, then connect an electric bass to the 1/4-inch instrument input. Use the 3.5 mm auxiliary input for a playback device, headphones for private practice, USB for computer audio recording and balanced XLR outputs for a mixer or recording interface. The MGT-4 footswitch and EXP-1 expression pedal are optional accessories rather than included items.
