The Roland JUNO-D6 is a portable 61-key synthesizer designed for performers, songwriters, and creators who need a broad sound palette in a compact keyboard. Its synth-action keys, direct-access controls, and scene-based workflow help players move quickly between sounds during rehearsals, performances, and production sessions. The instrument is well suited to live band setups where pianos, organs, synths, drums, and layered parts need to be available from one keyboard.
At its core, the JUNO-D6 uses Roland's ZEN-Core sound engine with more than 3,800 tones and more than 95 drum kits. Eight parts can be combined within a scene, allowing single, split, dual, super-layer, and drum-oriented performance setups. This makes it practical for covering a wide range of musical roles without relying on multiple sound modules.
The onboard eight-track step sequencer supports realtime, step, and TR-REC recording methods for developing patterns and backing parts. Eight phrase pads can trigger sounds, samples, rhythm patterns, audio files, or track-mute functions depending on the selected mode. An audio file player supports WAV and AIFF files from a USB flash drive, providing a convenient way to include playback material in a performance.
For sound shaping, the JUNO-D6 provides four Sound Modify knobs, four sliders, a pitch bend/modulation lever, and a color LCD. Its effects section includes multi-effects, insertion effects, chorus, reverb, EQ, drum compression, and dedicated microphone processing. A mic input also supports vocal processing features including noise suppression, compression, reverb, vocoder, and auto-pitch functions.
The JUNO-D6 can connect to powered speakers, a mixer, headphones, MIDI equipment, computers, and compatible mobile devices. Its USB-C computer connection carries class-compliant audio and MIDI, while USB bus power support can simplify portable setups. Roland Cloud Sound Packs and EXZ Wave Expansions provide an upgrade path for users who want to expand the onboard library.

Design & Installation
The JUNO-D6 uses a streamlined, portable keyboard design measuring 39-5/8 inches wide and weighing 12 lb 13 oz. Roland specifies a 61-key velocity-sensitive synth-action keyboard, a backlit 480 x 272 graphic color LCD, hands-on knobs and sliders, and eight phrase pads. The compact format is intended for transport, stand mounting, and quick access to performance controls.
Connect the balanced main outputs to a mixer, amplifier, or powered speakers, or use the stereo 1/4-inch headphones jack for private monitoring. The included PSB-5U AC adaptor powers the instrument; USB-C bus power is also supported, with a 5 V/2 A or greater USB power source required when supplying power through the USB COMPUTER port. For stand use, Roland lists the KS-11Z, KS-13, and KS-20X as compatible optional stands; optional DP-series pedals and the EV-5 expression pedal connect through the rear-panel pedal jacks.
