Roland DJ-707M Four-Channel DJ Controller
$1,132.99
Shure SRH1540-BK Premium Closed-Back Headphones
$549.00
The Roland DJ-707M is a four-channel DJ controller designed for DJs who also handle live sound, microphone duties, streaming, and event production. It combines controller operation with an onboard audio interface, routing tools, and speaker-management functions in one compact unit. This makes it well suited to mobile DJs, livestream creators, karaoke hosts, and performers working with varied source equipment.
Its 48 kHz signal processing and 20 Hz–22 kHz frequency response support clear full-range audio across DJ playback, microphones, and connected line sources. Independent master, booth, and zone outputs help separate the main system, monitor feed, and an additional room or recording destination. Output EQ and multiband compression provide useful tools for adapting connected speaker systems.
The DJ-707M supports four decks and includes a four-channel mixer with channel EQ, dedicated cue controls, filters, and assignable channel effects. Two PC USB-B ports allow two computers to be connected for changeovers or backup workflows. Channels 1 and 2 also accept phono sources from MM-cartridge turntables, while all four channels accept line-level devices.
For vocal work, the controller provides two XLR microphone inputs plus front-panel auxiliary inputs that can be configured for microphone use. Mic controls include level, three-band EQ, ducking, and vocal effects, helping DJs manage announcements, guest performers, and karaoke-style events. The front auxiliary section accepts dual 1/4-inch TRS inputs or a stereo 1/8-inch input.
Creative performance tools include a TR drum section on deck 3 and an OSC sound-generator source on channel 4. The internal TR section provides 16 patterns with eight variations each, while MIDI Out can send messages such as MIDI clock to compatible external gear. Ten scene memories let users store and recall event-specific routing and output-management settings.
Key Features
- Four-Channel Mixer: Mix computer decks, line devices, turntables, TR sounds, and OSC sources.
- Dual USB-B Ports: Connect two computers for changeovers or backup operation.
- Mic and AUX Inputs: Connect microphones, guest performers, keyboards, or portable audio players.
- Speaker Management: Apply output EQ and multiband compression to master, booth, and zone feeds.
- TR Drum Section: Add onboard rhythm patterns and variations to live DJ sets.
- Scene Memory: Recall up to 10 stored routing and system configurations.
Design & Installation
The DJ-707M uses a compact controller format with rugged, reinforced metal parts intended for regular mobile use. Its 16-character, two-line backlit LCD provides menu and status information. Front-facing headphone and auxiliary connections keep frequently used performance connections accessible.
Connect powered speakers or a power amplifier to the master outputs, using balanced XLR Master Out 1 where appropriate or RCA Master Out 2 for unbalanced connections. Booth and zone outputs can feed a monitor system, recorder, additional room, or other destination independently. A supplied AC adapter, power cord, and USB cable are included; the Roland USB driver and Serato DJ Pro software are downloaded separately.
