Ortofon CC-MK2 DIGITAL TWIN DJ Cartridge Twin Pack

The Ortofon Concorde MK2 Digital Twin is a two-cartridge DJ package designed for timecode vinyl and digital vinyl system use. Each Concorde cartridge arrives with its stylus preinstalled, providing a practical matched pair for a two-turntable DJ setup. The included flight case helps keep the cartridges protected between performances and sessions.

This model is intended for DJs who use control vinyl with compatible DJ software and want a strong, clean timecode signal. Its 10 mV output voltage is optimized to maximize the signal-to-noise ratio delivered to the software. Ortofon also designs the Digital model to reduce decoding errors and help extend the usable life of timecode records.

The Concorde MK2 Digital uses a spherical diamond stylus on an aluminum cantilever. Its specified frequency range is 20 Hz to 18 kHz, and it is also suitable for playing conventional vinyl records. With 22 dB channel separation at 1 kHz, it provides distinct left- and right-channel performance for DJ playback.

Each cartridge has a recommended tracking force of 4 g, within a 3 to 5 g operating range. The 18.5 g cartridge weight and 100 μm tracking ability at 315 Hz support the controlled cueing and playback demands associated with DJ use. Dynamic lateral compliance is rated at 14 μm/mN.

The integrated Concorde body is made for direct installation on turntables using an SME/bayonet-style removable headshell connection. This twin package is a straightforward choice for replacing both cartridges in a compatible DVS-oriented turntable system. When the stylus eventually needs replacement, it uses the designated Stylus CC MKII Digital replacement stylus.

Design & Installation

The Concorde MK2 Digital combines the cartridge body and headshell interface in one integrated design. Each cartridge uses an aluminum cantilever and spherical diamond stylus, while the twin set is supplied in a protective flight case. Two stylus protection guards and a dust brush are included with the package.

Install each cartridge directly onto a compatible SME/bayonet-style tonearm connection, then set tracking force within the specified 3 to 5 g range; Ortofon recommends 4 g. Use the pair with two compatible DJ turntables when a matched left and right deck setup is desired. For future maintenance, replace worn styli with Stylus CC MKII Digital replacements.
