Ortofon CONCORD DIGITAL SINGLE Concorde MKII Cartridge

The Ortofon CONCORD DIGITAL SINGLE is a Concorde MKII DJ cartridge designed for timecoded-vinyl playback. It is intended for DJs using digital vinyl systems who want a stable, high-output signal sent from the turntable to compatible software. The single-cartridge format provides one direct-mount Concorde cartridge with its stylus installed.

Its 10 mV output is optimized to provide a strong signal for timecode decoding. Ortofon designs the DIGITAL model to reduce the reproduction of frequencies associated with vinyl wear and crackle, helping minimize decoding errors. It can also be used for conventional vinyl playback.

The cartridge uses a spherical diamond stylus on an aluminium cantilever. Its 20 Hz to 18 kHz frequency range and 22 dB channel separation at 1 kHz support clear signal retrieval for DJ applications. Recommended tracking force is 4 g, within a specified 3 to 5 g range.

The Concorde MKII platform uses a direct bayonet/SME mounting interface rather than a conventional screw-mounted cartridge body. This design lets it attach directly to compatible tonearms without cartridge alignment. The cartridge measures 51.5 mm in effective length and weighs 18.5 g.

The CONCORD DIGITAL SINGLE is a practical replacement or upgrade for a DJ turntable used with timecode records. Design & Installation

The cartridge combines the integrated Concorde MKII form factor with an aluminium cantilever and spherical diamond stylus. It has an 18.5 g cartridge weight, a 14 mm height, and a 51.5 mm effective length. The stylus protection guard should remain fitted while mounting or removing the cartridge.

Install the cartridge directly onto a compatible Bayonet/SME tonearm connection; no cartridge alignment is required. Set tracking force within the 3 to 5 g specified range, with 4 g recommended by Ortofon. This model is well suited to turntables used with DVS timecode records and can also play conventional vinyl.
