The Ortofon Concorde MK2 MIX is a single DJ phono cartridge designed for turntables using a bayonet/SME-style removable headshell connection. It provides a direct-mount cartridge option for DJs who need dependable playback for mixing, scratch routines, and back-cueing. The single version includes the cartridge and its pre-mounted stylus.

This model is suited to DJs building a first turntable setup, replacing a worn cartridge, or maintaining a matching backup for a compatible deck. Its spherical diamond stylus is intended for general DJ use and supports the handling demands associated with cueing and record manipulation. The recommended tracking force is 3 g, within a specified range of 2 to 4 g.

The Concorde MK2 MIX has a 6 mV output voltage, helping it deliver a usable signal level into compatible phono-stage inputs. Ortofon specifies 20 dB channel separation at 1 kHz and a 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range at -3 dB. Its sound character is designed around balanced, transparent playback and practical tracking ability.

An aluminum cantilever supports the spherical diamond stylus, which has an R 18 µm tip radius. Ortofon specifies tracking ability of 100 µm at 315 Hz when used at the recommended tracking force. Dynamic lateral compliance is rated at 14 µm/mN.

For a compatible DJ system, the cartridge mounts directly to a bayonet/SME tonearm connection without conventional cartridge alignment. Match the turntable tonearm's counterweight to the recommended 3 g tracking force before use. When the stylus eventually needs replacement, the designated Stylus CC MKII Mix is available separately.

The Concorde MK2 MIX combines an integrated Concorde-format cartridge body with an aluminum cantilever and spherical diamond stylus. Its 18.5 g cartridge weight and bayonet/SME mounting format are designed for compatible DJ tonearms. The stylus tip has an R 18 µm radius.

Install the cartridge by mounting it directly to a compatible bayonet/SME tonearm connection, keeping the stylus guard in place during mounting or removal. No conventional alignment is required for this Concorde mounting format. Set the tonearm tracking force to the recommended 3 g setting and stay within the specified 2 to 4 g range.
