The Ortofon Concorde MK2 DJ Twin is a matched two-cartridge package for DJs who use turntables with Bayonet/SME-style removable headshell connections. Each Concorde MK2 DJ cartridge arrives with its stylus preinstalled, providing a direct-mount solution for two-turntable DJ setups. The included flight case keeps both cartridges together for transport and storage.

This model is intended for DJs who need dependable vinyl playback while cueing, back-cueing, and performing scratch-oriented techniques. Its spherical diamond stylus and 3 to 5 g tracking-force range are designed around stable groove contact in demanding DJ use. The recommended tracking force is 4 g.

The Concorde MK2 DJ uses a 6 mV output at 1 kHz, 5 cm/sec, helping it provide a strong signal to a compatible phono input or DJ mixer. Its specified frequency range is 20 Hz to 20 kHz at -3 dB. Channel separation is rated at 22 dB at 1 kHz for defined left/right playback.

Ortofon builds the Concorde MK2 DJ around an aluminum cantilever and spherical R 18 μm diamond stylus. Dynamic lateral compliance is specified at 14 μm/mN, while tracking ability is rated at 100 μm at 315 Hz. These characteristics support controlled playback for general DJ performance and record handling.

The Twin package is a practical upgrade for a pair of compatible DJ turntables, eliminating the need to buy two individual cartridge assemblies separately. The Concorde body mounts directly to a compatible tonearm without cartridge alignment. When replacement is needed, the designated Stylus CC MKII DJ is the specified replacement stylus.

Design & Installation

Each cartridge has Ortofon's integrated Concorde-style body, with an aluminum cantilever and spherical diamond stylus. The Twin package includes two complete cartridge-and-stylus assemblies housed in a flight case. Each cartridge weighs 18.5 g.

Mount each cartridge directly onto a compatible Bayonet/SME tonearm connection; Ortofon specifies that no alignment is required for the Concorde mounting system. Set tracking force within the 3 to 5 g range, using 4 g as the recommended setting. Keep the stylus guard fitted while mounting or removing the cartridge, and clean the stylus by brushing from the rear toward the stylus tip.
