Rockford Fosgate RZR14-K8 8 AWG RZR Amplifier Install Kit

The Rockford Fosgate RZR14-K8 is a vehicle-specific single-amplifier installation kit for select Polaris RZR side-by-sides. It provides the power, ground, signal, speaker, and mounting components needed to add a compatible Rockford Fosgate amplifier without building a wiring system from individual parts. The kit is intended for both 2-seat and 4-seat RZR applications within its specified fitment range.

This kit is designed around the Rockford Fosgate M5-800X4 four-channel Element Ready amplifier, sold separately. Its preconfigured harnesses and amplifier-specific mounting plates help simplify the connection between the vehicle, audio source, amplifier, and front speakers. It is a practical foundation for a front-speaker or staged RZR audio upgrade.

The RZR14-K8 uses 8 AWG power and ground wiring with an inline 60-amp Maxi fuse to support its intended amplifier application. Front-speaker wiring and RCA-to-Molex signal harnesses are included, reducing the amount of custom wiring required during installation. The harness system is Color Optix-ready for use in compatible Rockford Fosgate RZR audio systems.

Two mounting plates are included to address different RZR dashboard mounting arrangements. One bracket is intended for 2014-2018 applications, while the other supports 2019-and-newer applications within the confirmed vehicle range. Each plate mounts below the dash using factory mounting points and is predrilled for the compatible M5-800X4 amplifier.

Rather than changing the sound on its own, the RZR14-K8 provides the electrical and physical infrastructure for a properly integrated amplifier installation. It is suited to owners building a Rockford Fosgate RZR system with compatible front speakers, source equipment, and Color Optix components. The amplifier, speakers, radio or source unit, and any additional system components are purchased separately.

Design & Installation

The RZR14-K8 combines loomed wiring, purpose-built connectors, an inline fused power harness, and two vehicle-specific amplifier mounting plates. The included brackets are predrilled and tapped for the M5-800X4, while the harnesses use Molex connections intended to connect with that amplifier. Hardware, wire ties, push-fastener zip ties, and an installation manual are supplied to support a clean installation.

Select the mounting plate that matches the RZR model year and mount the amplifier beneath the dash at the factory mounting points. Route and secure the 9.5-foot power, ground, and speaker harness as directed in the installation manual, then connect the RCA-to-Molex harnesses to the compatible audio source and amplifier. The included harnesses and brackets are purpose-built for the M5-800X4; fitting another amplifier may require wiring or mounting modifications.
