The T1692 also uses VAST surround geometry to increase effective cone area without enlarging the speaker basket. Its offset cantilever tweeter placement is intended to reduce reflections between the rear of the tweeter and the woofer cone. Design & Installation

The T1692 uses a carbon-fiber and polypropylene injection-molded woofer cone, butyl-rubber surround, and aluminum-dome tweeter with polyurethane suspension. Its FlexFit basket uses slotted mounting provisions to help accommodate varying factory mounting-hole positions. Grilles or trim rings are included with this model.

Verify that the vehicle accepts a 6x9-inch speaker, a 5.77 by 8.51-inch cutout, and approximately 3.39 inches of mounting depth before installation. Connect each speaker with correct polarity and use an amplifier channel stable at 4 ohms; Rockford Fosgate specifies 30 to 100 watts RMS of recommended amplifier power per speaker. The built-in crossover means no separate external tweeter crossover is required for normal coaxial installation.
